Rahkshi Lalonde
okay, i was prettty standradly amazed by this up until i got to thje Pros/Cons bit, "Can stand on one leg" what? something in my mind, from experience with Bionicle titans doesn't want to believe that's physically possible. how can that be a thing that can happen? speaking of titans, this is the kind of thing i'd like to see Bionicle toy with a bit, he's not absurdly huge compared to other characters (looking at you, Toa Mata Nui) but he's just tall enough to be horrifically imposing in the presence of simple humanoids. Toa Smoke Monster
If there is one Star Wars contraction set that I'm going to get out of this wave, Grievous is it. He is best one out of all the ones review so far IMO. The price on him is a little high though. But I have a birthday coming up, which means I'll be getting a gift card or two. Just the perfect item to use to get this set. Thanks for the review! Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story. Bfahome
When I get this set I am going to fix the feet as soon as possible. Otherwise, I like everything about the set.
Jobber
Probably the only set I'm going to get from this wave, if my order of free parts from Lego goes through.

Aanchir
Good review. 19 cents per piece is certainly more than we're used to paying for sets this size, but for constraction sets in general it's not out of the ordinary. The 2001, 2002, 2006, 2008, and 2015 Toa sets are all at least 19 cents per piece on average, and if you adjust for inflation the price per piece on many of those older Toa gets even higher. Still. if this set didn't have a license attached I could see it being just a $30 set, like Takanuva and Witch Doctor which were both around the same height despite their considerably larger piece counts. This set is a great parts pack for Brick Yellow (Tan), but it's not at the top of my wish list since as far as parts go, I think new CCBS parts in already common colors like Black, White, and Silver Metallic would do more for my building than existing CCBS parts in rarer colors. And I don't have enough display space or enough interest in Star Wars to really want this set as anything but a parts pack. So right now I'm more interested in Jango Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi. ChocolateFrogs
Thanks for the review, Aaron! Including those excellent pictures. I'm not too worried about $.19 a piece, considering other constraction price-per-piece ratios (as Scott mentioned above). Even though a lot of that piece count goes towards tiny Technic parts. I think Grievous is the best set in this wave of action figures and well worth the $35 to anyone who feels like getting it. He's just so huge and awesome, plus has some great parts for building. -CF

TuragaNuva
Man, do I wish I had the money for this right now... I've been excited about this since the first picture was shown, and this review makes it look even better. If I do pick it up, though, I'll probably make some modifications to the feet. Trijhak
General Greivous... you're shorter than I expected. In what way is Grievous short? He's undoubtedly one of tallest CCBS titans we've ever had... and probably one of the best looking, too. Quote On Bota Magna, everything is about to fall apart. Nescent
I wish I could afford this set. Not so much for the tan parts - I just think he looks awesome! Too bad he doesn't have a cape, though. In what way is Grievous short? He's undoubtedly one of tallest CCBS titans we've ever had... and probably one of the best looking, too. He was just kidding; that's a quote from one of the movies. Wazdakka
Amazing as expected. Tan parts! Big CCBS Titan! Star Wars! Is the consensus that he is pretty much the best of the bunch? Aanchir
Amazing as expected. Tan parts! Big CCBS Titan! Star Wars! Is the consensus that he is pretty much the best of the bunch?I don't know, I've heard quite a few complaints about him, usually about how gappy his torso is compared to his actual appearance from the movies and Clone Wars TV series. Since Grievous's torso being a fairly solid shell for his surviving organs was a major plot point, the inaccuracy of the set in that regard is a big deal to some people. The lack of a cape is also a sticking point for some people, especially since it makes the gaps in his torso that much more conspicuous. I think Vader is the set that's received the most overwhelming praise on most of the sites I've visited, even those not focused on constraction. I've heard some gripes about the Darth Vader set (including from BZPower's own Darth Vader, who will be reviewing the set here), but they are few and far between. Granted, Brickset hasn't posted their review of General Grievous yet, and I think that will provide some more detailed insights into what people outside the Bionicle community think of this set. Ballom Nom Nom
Wow, this set looks gorgeous. Even if it didn't have all that tan it would be a great deal; with it it's a must-have. Price is a bit high, but since folks on Bricklink charge an arm and a leg for new CCBS, it's the best way to get that tan. ~B~ Edited September 8, 2015 by Ballom

MrSciFiGuy
Price is a tough point because of the Branding involved, but it is a really solid set. Really love the tan though, that's the main selling point to me. I want to get this and make like a large scale Vorox Quote Bionicle: ANP aims to create narrated versions of all the Bionicle books, with voice actors for each character, and music taken from various media to enhance the story. Techn0geist
Big brother was kind enough to buy this for me today (okay I bribed him, shhh). Only complaints I really have are a lack of forward-back ankle tilts, lack of deeper elbow bends, and lack of a cape. This last one is fixable, we have spare fabric lying around Quote The Writer Formerly Known as Zeal BZPRPG Profiles Ghosts of Bara Magna Profiles
Nidhiki of the Shadows
Set looks awesome. That is a really creative use of CCBS and I do like the way it turns out. And the colours... Never thought I'd see tan again. -NotS
Kex
Great review, and fantastic photos. I saw this set in Target last week and had to pick it up! I have Grievous displayed with my Destroyer Droid (8002). This is the best technic-based set I've seen in years.
