Irrie cocked his rifle, swallowing hard. Up front, the sounds of Ghidora barking out at his troops nearly faded out of existence as he looked over the war-torn landscape. Flames flickering everywhere, screams still ringing in his ears..

Shadow placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's almost over."

With a crash, the bolted doors swung open. Instantly the troops nearby were taken down by bullets, one getting a knife to the head from Jakura. Their fearless leader Ghidora was wearing gunmetal armour, deflecting any projectiles as he swiftly stabbed one of the guardsmen before beheading him. It didn't take long for them to ascend to the top, but at the door, one of the men screamed, tackled Bonkle, and flew out the window to his death, the Le-Matoran plummeting to his doom.

The heavy iron gates slowly swung open. Inside a being sat, angrily barreling his eyes at the Kanohi Force. "Leave and never return, mortals!" The being had, unfortunately, heavily understated them as Jakura sliced through every soldier he threw at him. Shadow saw it was stalling. "Forget the others, go for him!"

A particle barrier appeared before the force, grabbing Ghidora and dragging him away. The royal figure lowered a massive stone statue from the wall behind him, revealing it to be a furnace, and aimed it at Jakura. "Goodbye."

The fire Toa activated his Hau Nuva and rushed at it, but nothing could withstand the incredible fire-power as it forced his mask off and burnt him to a shriveled crisp. " NOOO!!!" Pohatu screamed, as the area swarmed with soldiers. "You monster! To-"

"Please, The Tokytot is fine enough." A rippling exposion followed in succession by hundreds more occurred a ways off as the red star plummeted onto what was once BZ-Metru. "And he won't be coming back."

Irrie furiously punched buttons on the monitor, trying in vain to turn off the silent alarm. A flurry of footsteps occurred from the hallways, sending a spiral of fear into him as he ducked behind a small supply of rifles. The room filled with guards, checking over every inch of floor before growling out the doorway about automatic safety karzahni.

Stepping out once more, he opened up the files and printed out a paper of great importance. It read:

My friend Jakura,

I have unlocked the secrets of the end of everything. I am the answer, and nothing can stop me.

And you are dead already.

But i know you will read this letter anyways.

FRACTURED LIGHT

Bonkle breathed softly, slowly.

It had been his job to protect the civilians for two years. He failed miserably, allowing them to get slaughtered in every way possible. When they revolted and left him on the edge of town, they were easily torn apart by Vahki. Nobody was left but him, and he was being watched every moment.

Suddenly, the sound of a hundred Vahki being smashed to shreds seemingly came from right behind his makeshift shelter. He tucked back inside it, shivering. The Vahki slaughter was confirmed to him when one of the heads flew over it and landed in the streets. everything went black.

And only half a second later, it was the foggy grey sky again. Coming out after fifteen minutes, Bonkle surveyed the landscape and found nothing, not even the remains of the Vahki. However, he nearly jumped half his height when a helicopter's blades echoed through his ears.

The Matoran who stepped out of it was all too familiar. Wearing camo-striped armour, an ammo chain across his chest, and a machine gun grafted to his shoulder, he growled profusely at Bonkle. "You're coming back, traitor."

Chapter 2

The lights flickered on and off outside of a alleyway, the rubble having been converted into a safehouse. A neon sign sparked occasionally. Inside an unrecognizable tune repeated itself on a record player as several desk lamps focused on a single spot on a ruined desk. Someone was fiddling with some pieces of plastic and aluminum, constantly clicking them together and twisting them, then welding them together and placing them aside. One swift knock was heard on the makeshift door to the structure. "Hehe... Come in."

In strode a tall, sleek figure. She wasn't impressed by the looks of the shelter at all and as she strode in casually, she frowned inside at the pile of masks in the corner staked through with a spike. "Tell me; how long have you been here?"

The chair slowly turned, and the figure set the welding mask aside. The Matoran seated was a tinker; skilled with making firearms and odd distorted figurines. He had soot streaked across his chest, a scar running along his left hip, severa gadgets attached to his lower arms, and slight rings under his eyes. His eyes shone green as he eyed the figure, trying to comprehend why she came back for him. "Why do you ask? It's not like anybody cares anymore. I don't care anymore." He swiveled back to his work.

"You seem to know more than you reveal," She continued, moving forwards slowly as the seated figure tensed. "Like the fact that you're not brainwashed."

He rounded on her. "What do you want, Fishers? i just want to forget it all, and you maniacs keep dragging me back! Why? WHY? I didn't like him. I've never liked him... You know that, right? and i don't care for the stinking imaginary force! that psychopath" He jabbed a finger behind her. "ruined my life. He let death fall on everybody. You don't seem to care about anyone else."

"You're WRONG." Fishers finally shot back, but couldn't find any words to fill the empty space as she stammered nothing for a couple of seconds before turning around. "You..." She regained her composure. "You're the only one who can do anything about this. You can do more than sit and whistle away the hours of your life. "She turned and approached him again. "And like it or not, he was one Karz of a leader. He stopped Plan Underride before it even started. He literally clocked back the universe so that we could get another few years. Don't you want him back?"

"Yep," He snorted. "I don't want him back." He slapped his mask on and resumed his work for only a moment. "...Dare i ask what happens if we don't get him back?"

Fishers sighed. "Chandelier will tear the universe apart piece by piece, and he'll start with people like you." She motioned outside. "Everyone will die, including you, and everything will go up in flames. But we can get out of this. We can still fight back and win. Win Ghidora back. You're one of the few people who know the truth. You have to act."

Dane sat for a few more moments. "I don't 'have' to do anything," He said, getting up and sliding a gun onto his back. "But i'd rather not die."

Chapter 3

A sack was removed from Bonkle's head.

The Le-Matoran's eyes lit up, trying to get accustomed to the unusually dark setting. In front of him was a steel table, suspiciously indented on his side. On the wall was a poorly drawn Mahiki and a few small maps. On the opposite side of the room, He could barely make out a metal door with some of the largest wingnuts He had ever seen.

It was at that moment that he discovered how the table got indented, as a rough hand grabbed his head and smashed it down twice, releasing its grip the second time. His sunken eyes looked painfully around trying to figure out who it was, when the interrogator came into view. It was the same Matoran on the helicopter, only the camo face paint had been poorly rubbed off and a finely stitched red fez had taken up living quarters on his head.

"TALK." He growled, his hands seemingly wishing to rip the table in half. "Why did you desert the team and let the red star explode? We've calculated the explosive charges back to YOUR design, made and planted directly before the explosion occurred. WHY." When all the Le-Matoran did was silently stammer, longingly wishing to fall asleep, Dallior became furious. He slid the table out of the way and slapped him once before gripping his throat. "You tell me now. W H Y."

"That ain't gonna work, ugly."

Dallior's eyes shot up and a shocked expression fell on his face when he saw Dane, Fishers in tow. "H-...how did you find him." He shook his head quickly. "Untie him! We don't have that much time! But don't let him out of your sight!"

Bonkle breathed a sigh of relief which he quickly sucked back in, remembering who it was who was untying him just then, grumbling quietly to himself as he worked. "Data columns aren't gonna fix themselves, Dallior. What are we gonna do?" Fishers quietly leaned against the door frame, waiting for her commander to reply.

"We gotta find the coliseum," Dallior finally huffed out. "And you've got some talking to do in the meantime."

-------

White claws tapped impatiently on the side of a throne. "We cannot hesitate any longer, Unit... I can see them now, you know."

The shapeshifting being looked curiously at the titan, pondering his statement. The particles of his body were always moving, and glowed a mesmerizing blue. "What are they doing? Is it time to destroy them?"

"No," the figure chuckled, rubbing what Unit could only assume to be his chin. "They are after Jakura... How foolish. And Ghidora, too? Oh come now, that isn't cricket."

The monster slowly stood. His legs were short, about a Matoran's size, while the rest of his body was much bigger.  What used to be a white mask had melted over his face and became like dried wax, and near the back of his head were golden spikes, jammed into the being's skull in a decorative fashion. The rest of him was gunmetal grey, and two large hook decoration rose from within his shoulder blades. "We'll work with what we've got. Check on Arzaki and set the Gukko free. It's time to play a game."

"As you wish, Kovika."

"Please," Kovika said, glancing at the shorter being. "Chandelier will do just fine."

Chapter 4

Out of the war-torn landscape drove a crude buggy of sorts, Fishers driving. Dane was in the passenger seat while Dallior watched Bonkle in the back. "So," She began, a little nervously, "What really happened?"

Dane let out a contemptible sigh before speaking. "You remember the last four days of Underride, right? That was Tokytot stepping in, blahdy blah blah, you get the picture." He absentmindedly scraped some rust off of the side of the vehicle door. "Turns out Tokytot didn't do anything."

Dallior looked up front momentarily before returning his eyes to his prisoner. "There was only a small battle, and I kinda lost my house in it... And my life." Fishers perked up suddenly. "But... The Red Star had already been destroyed. You couldn't have come back after the crash."

Dane rotated his head to look at Fishers, something mechanical churning behind them. "There really is a lot you don't know, isn't there?"

----------------

The dank underground passageway smelled like it had been flooded for a month. An amalgamation of what appeared to be a Toa and a Bird spasmed suddenly before shooting up and biting the door of the cell it was in. On the other end, small blue particles started collecting themselves into a heavily armored Matoran. "Time to fly free, Gukko Lord."

They swung the cell door open and quickly stepped outside of the creature's line of sight. It shrieked and bolted off down the hallways, eventually darting up and smashing through a manhole cover to take to the air. Unit chuckled inside before striding off down the halls, oblivious to a Matoran of sonics that slowly followed.

Liliathe.

----------------

The group continued in absolute silence aside from the noises of the vehicle until the massive cityscape seemed years away. "Earthquake." Bonkle said suddenly. He jumped up from the rear of the vehicle and into the back seat, curling into a ball and blankly staring at the floor.

Oddly enough, it was a earthquake. It occurred only moments after Bonkle's statement, and the crew strapped themselves in. Dane shot his arm out towards the front of the vehicle. "There! The coliseum remains. That's where Jakura was buried." Fishers gave the tinker a quizzical look before realizing the entire coliseum was moving. The vehicle stopped and Dallior stood up, as the coliseum rose out of the ground, pulling several graveyards around it together until it met a humanoid form.

That, however, was not what sent an appalled look over Dallior's face. He activated a sight in his shoulder-grafted firearm and began shaking. "You were 100% right, Dane. That..." He zoomed in on a familiar red Hau Nuva.

"That IS Jakura."

"...Well..." Dane gulped as Fishers slowly loaded her pistol. "...Even I don't know everything."

Chapter 5

Liliathe quickly darted down the halls, her left hip aching as she did so. Unit had disappeared, and it was making her blood pressure rise. Almost dead silence had hung for about twenty minutes before she broke into a mad dash. Scrapped Kestora sat in pools of questionable liquid.

Without warning, Unit was right in front of her.

She kicked off the floor, doing a backwards flip before rushing her new opponent. Unit simply reformed his hand in the place needed to press against her forehead, bringing her to a quick stop before shoving her backwards and onto the floor. The celebratory, miniature victory didn't last long. Liliathe activated her electric baton and swung it in a wide arc, attracting some of Unit's particles and electrocuting them. This was not fun for the shapeshifter as he tried his best to pull himself free, smashing the baton against the wall and trying to punch Liliathe as it zapped him over and over.

If she had suspected that she would win, she was wrong. A shout was heard from a hallway outside of her line of vision, and then a bullet snapped through the air, hitting the electric baton and destroying it. Freed, Unit quickly escaped through an air vent.

"You-!" Liliathe whirled on the attacker, only to see a rather bruised and acrobatic Ko-Matoran. He was white and light blue, and had the remains of a tuxedo on his body, punctured in so many places it was absurd to wear. An Akaku was on his face, and what she could only assume to be a tie hung around his neck.

"Ghidora, you twit! I had him until you destroyed this!" She seemingly waved the destroyed weapon in front of his face, even though he was a ways away. Ghidora shrugged, slipping his firearm into what remained of a pocket and waltzing forwards. "Never you mind on such trivial celebrity appearances. I found Shadow."

----------------

When 'Jakura' began moving towards the group, Dallior let out a cry and began firing round after round of cordak missiles into the titan, blowing tiny chunks away while Dane frantically switched seats with Fishers and began circling him. Bonkle remained in the back seat.

They saw Jakura's mass suddenly start shrinking. Perhaps the attacks were doing something after all.

The mass of Jakura's arm was depleting and moving to his other arm - the one they were coming towards. Dane growled, stepping on the gas and attempting to hightail it out of there until he realized the arm could go twice as fast as the vehicle. With one swing it snatched the vehicle off of the ground and almost sent Dallior flying. He aimed straight at the head, breathing incredibly fast, as it slowly pulled them towards the red Hau Nuva.

The eyes were black, empty voids, and the face was thin and pale. Fishers stuttered to say something. Jakura's expression grew dark, then instantly puzzled, as he turned the car to look inside it. Bonkle rolled onto the floor and under the seat.

"W... Where's Shadow? And Ghidora?"

---------------

Liliathe and Ghidora quietly walked down a certain hallway with limbs driven into the stone walls. Ghidora didn't seem very talkative, so she held her tongue. After a ways the arms had been seamed into a barrier, which Ghidora began to remove arm by arm, and occasionally a leg, which was incredibly revolting and putrid odors filled the air. After almost vomiting three times, Liliathe finally found the courage to step through the doorway and instantly went wide-eyed in shock.

On the wall was a being of incredible girth, very muscular and derived of sleep. He growled in frustration and pulled o0n the massive series of chains keeping his arms in place. What used to be a black Kakama was splintered and welded to his face. The massive hands strained to get close enough to crush Ghidora's head, the head-bearer stepping aside and gesturing with a bow to a plaque he had been standing in front of.

Chapter 6

The feathery Gukko Lord soared through the smog and over the industrial wastelands, toxic fumes turning the sky a sickly green. As it glided over the debauched ruins, a metal bolas arose out of the smoke and caught its right wing. Screeching in terror, the plumed poultry plummeted pitifully downwards until hooking itself on a mangled antenna.

Two Matoran instantly stepped into view, lowering firearms onto the creature. One of them was slightly nervous, fingers constantly taping the sides of his gun. He was a tarnished array of colours, so smudged that it was difficult to identify which colour was which. The golden Hau on his face was the only part that never received damage.

The other held his weapon in only one hand, with a sadistic grin on his face and a trench coat around his body. On his left hand he wore a black, open-fingered glove with small studded tips on the knuckles. "Well. Looks like we got lunch."

The bird's eyeballs locked onto the latter. In an instant, it darted forwards and snapped at Geha, instantly bruising his leg and sending him flying backwards. His gun clattered unceremoniously onto the floor. Not wasting any time, the bird swung his weighted wing around to smack Icarus in the face with the metal bolas, before shaking free and attempting to fly away.

The escape attempt didn't last very long. As a soft cry of "Geha!" rang out, the mechanical sound of a net launcher cracked the air and a net took the bird out of the air as well. With a painful shriek, Gukko Lord hit the ground hard.

From behind the net launcher strode forward a Toa of Stone. His armour was tarnished with soot, scratched up from shrapnel, shattered from bombing runs. A golden crown was on his head, and as he strode forwards a hole-ridden cape flowed behind him. Only the Toa found it to be regal.

Growling, he snatched up the Ko-Matoran by the neck. "You idiot!" He shook Icarus around. "That's Aerixx! We want him alive!"

"I-I-I'm sorry, master!" Ben struggled against the hold. "I-I-I-I-" The Toa tossed him aside. "Well, Mr. Aerixx, we have some talking to do."

---------------

"..............Jakura?"

The earth being groaned. "Yes... It is me. But what of the Leedurz?"

Dane stood, awkwardly trying to grip onto the steering wheel and avoid it. "You were assaulted by the traitor's union, dispatched during project Underride, and cremated alive!" He thrust an arm out towards his red mask. "I'll tell you about the Leedurz when you do some talking!"

The Titan's grip on the vehicle suddenly vanished. Dallior gripped the railing frantically as fishers gasped, expecting the car to hit and explode. Dane's eyes went wide as well, until he saw Jakura's arm suddenly reforming a hand. Catching the vehicle, he glared furiously at Dane.

"I will say what I wish, when I wish." Jakura growled. "And you will inform me when I command. Understood?"

Dallior nodded once. Fishers sat, exasperated. Dane only grunted. "You can't threaten us. You're the one in need of information, and you aren't going to get it the way you're trying."

After a few moments, an incredibly vague and gentle tone of blue appeared in his eyes. "Very well." He set the vehicle down, facing towards the city. "But only if we get Ghidora back."

"That's nearly impossible, mate." Dane said as he turned the car around and drove at a pace Jakura could keep up with. Fishers glanced at him questioningly before sitting still, trying hard to breathe slowly.

---------------

Chains snapped. Shadow collapsed onto the blood-stained floor of the stockade. An unnatural grinding of gears occurred when he stood. "Rrrr... Nng..."

Ghidora facepalmed. "Oh, for the love of humanity. Shadow! Hey, it's me! Ghiddy-Guy-Person!" Shadow gladly greeted GhiddyGuyPerson with a large fist, sending him into the wall. "NO! You will stay back, says I! All the fighting in the world... Mustn't match purple with green..."

Ghidora went wide-eyed. "Whaaaat?! You sound like me on a Tuesday, Shadow! what's wrong with you?"

Chapter 7

Lilliathe helped Ghidora up and then slightly shoved him into a wall. "Stay out of the way," She grunted as she walked forwards and placed her hand on Shadow's face. She soon found out that was a terrible mistake, as Shadow roared and snatched her by the waist, readying to drive her into the floor.

Ghidora dove forwards, tripping the large 'Matoran' and consequentially getting crushed by his weight. Shadow growled and grabbed Ghiddy by the feet, and proceeded to begin the long walk out of the underground prison, Ghidora pushing up as far as he could to avoid ruining his suit remains.

It didn't take a very long time for Liliathe to redirect the large being down the wrong path and to a blank wall. Infuriated, he began mashing her against the wall in an attempt to break it. Then, right before the third mashing, everything went black, and a hideous scream filled the halls. When the light slowly returned, Shadow was gripping the sides of his head and moaning, Liliathe being on the floor. Ghidora had gotten up and was looking around quickly. "This way! He has to be this way!" He took off running without question, as Shadow rotated around to face her.

"Liliathe?"

--------------

The Toa of stone slammed his fist down on the side of his makeshift throne. Geha was in the corner being tended to by Kasha. "You, turkey brain, tried to kill me three times. I'm only doing what is best for the Kanohi Fo-"

"REASON!" The bird rasped out, struggling inside the net. "CREDIT!"

"Oh, so you're blaming that idiot Ghidora for your traitorism?" He stepped off of the throne. "You left us. You destroyed everything with the help of your suited simpleton. You brought a reign of tyranny! Bring up the prisoner!" He commanded, and Icarus quickly stepped out a small door to do so.

A soaked, hoarse, and very furious Ghidora was brought up from a flooded hole. "You two will begin talking," Barked Petewa, "To the real Leedur of the Kanohi Force."

--------------

"Sinking, living, breathing..."

Bonkle rambled to himself as Dallior tried to slap some sense into him. Dane was mildly explaining to Fishers on the city's structural flaws, while she patiently waited to hear something useful. Jakura, however, had become much smaller, and it grabbed Dallior's attention. "Jak, uh, you seem smaller somehow."

The colossus looked at himself. "Yes. I am loosing my physical form." A large part of the coliseum crashed off behind him. "Soon I will no longer exist. My time to find Ghidora is precious."

As he was finishing, an army of Matoran, Toa, and similar beings began coming out of the city. "Hey! I thought Bonkle said they got killed!"

"I did," The Le-Matoran came up from the floor. "How are they alive?"

"They will be very sorry for messing with me."

Chapter 8

"No."

The royal Toa stepped forwards and socked Ghidora in the jaw. "You will SPEAK when I COMMAND!!! Start Talking!"

Ghidora was thinner, slightly shorter, and the orange light in his eyes was red. The rest of his body was black, and all that remained from his suit was a twisted tie, the red dye sucked out of it. What Aerixx could only assume was a spear was tied to his hands and feet. He growled and spat a cluster of pitch-black water, saliva, and gravel into Petewa's face.

"Nnng- Rrraaaaaah!!" The Toa angrily wiped it off of his face. "Treason! Geha, execute them immediately!"

As Geha rose to do so, a quaking was felt in the ground.... Only to see Aerixx's wings pop through holes in the net and then his takeoff. "No! Stop him! Shoot him down!!!"

------------------

Jakura proved very effective at eliminating the Matoran and Toa, Dane shooting off a few unnecessary rounds at them, only to have Jakura squash them a second later. Dallior had snatched a Matoran up as they drove by, only to have it fall apart in his hands, the flesh-like material vanishing in an instant. "What?"

It didn't take long to eliminate nearly every single being that came at them. The massive being breathed a sigh of relief, until he saw a small bird rising out of the remains of the Kanohi Force tower.             "ESCAPE! MUNDANE!"

"...Aerixx?"

------------------

Liliathe and Shadow tried desperately to keep up with Ghidora's pace. He finally stopped in front of a large metal door. Painful screams were coming from the inside. Ghidora took a quick second to examine the door in its entirety, hoping to find a way in, only for Shadow to mash a large dent in it. "Or that." He backed up. "Do what you want."

The Av-Matoran cracked his neck and began raining blow after blow upon it until it snapped and flung open. It was at that second Liliathe regretted opening this door.

A hideous-looking machine was sitting up against the wall, churning metal with a revolting noise. A very thin, red figure was sitting n the center of it, legs hidden by the device, his eyes sunken in with deep rings. On his back was a mechanism controlling two massive bladed arms, attached to his own. And on his face was an unmistakable Kualsi, in tarnished gold.

"No." Ghidora muttered. "...Well... G'night."

His fist swung up without warning, and knocked Liliathe unconscious.

Chapter 9

Icarusben quickly rushed forwards, snatching a harpoon off of the ground and leveling it at the fleeing feathery fabric. With one swift motion, the harpoon had... Missed it entirely. "Get over," Grunted Petewa as he shoved the Ko-Matoran aside and fired two pistol rounds at Aerixx. Both shots embedded themselves inside his torso, and he led out a cawing shriek, just as the sky darkened.

Jakura snatched the pummeled pledged poultry out of the sky, as another four shots impacted his arm and did nothing. Geha had slowly stood, nervously trying to summon the Karzahni G1, which rose from the floor and activated. The titan eyed the lustrous lark, only to find the shots had been lethal. Fury rose into his eyes, burning bright blue, setting the Gukko being down gently. "You... RRRAAAAGH!!!"

Geha quickly actuated the mobile eradication device and climbed in, rushing forwards to affix itself to Jakura's leg, only to be instantly sucked in by his constantly shifting form and die of asphyxiation. It was at this wondrous time that Dane slammed on the gas and drove into the building holding the Toa of stone. Fishers leaped out from the vehicle, rolling upon landing and firing a shot into Icarus' leg. As he cried out in pain, Kasha whirled on the chained Ghidora, taking out the fury of her deceased friend on him. "Hehe... Hon..." He whispered as he was beaten, until Dallior slammed into her and threw her against the wall. "Drop dead, Kasha."

Petewa sent a boulder flying at Dane's vehicle. "Ha! You cower and tremble. You are weak and- AAAGH!" His royal speech and his upper half were abruptly cut off by Dane driving into his midsection.

-------------------

Liliathe opened her eyes.

Behind her group, a building with a golden sheen was waning and smoldering. Arzaki's legs could be seen for the first time, and they were weak-kneed and incredibly thin. Ghidora and Shadow were speaking to each other, with Ghidora doing the most talking and Shadow adding a comment here and there. Arzaki suddenly fell forwards, and the pair quickly swung their arms out to grab him and hold him upright.

"How did we... Get out?"

"Very well, I'll try." The hulking Matoran never noticed Liliathe as he turned and bellowed at a massive dirt figure in the distance. "HELLO! OVER HERE!"

Jakura slowly turned.

Chapter 10

As the party reassembled, something was clearly wrong.

Shadow and Jakura had quite a bit of chatting to do. Kasha and Icarusben were being monitored by Dallior, as she tended to the Ko-Matoran's wound. Dane walked over, dragging the upper half of Petewa, and Fishers shut off the vehicle and hopped out. "Well. That ends the traitor's union." She pulled Bonkle out as well.

Liliathe then noticed the problem. "Uh... Is it just me, or do we have two of Ghidora?"

The two Ghidoras stared at each other, quizzically. "So..." The first of the Ghidoras said. "...What?"

Dane angrily stomped forwards and pushed the two apart. "If you would kindly be quiet, everyone, I'll do some talking."

"You," He pointed at the Ghidora dragged up from the well, his red eyes switching to a passive blue, "Are not Ghidora. You're a short, semi-intelligent Onu-Toa with a severe mental issue and a love for all things French... Sound familiar?" The figure's left eye switched to a blazing red, as Icarusben let out a gasp. "Ze Motherland. Un Baguette..... Monsieur Dane? Ah, HON HON HON"

"And you," The green Matoran whirled on the other Ghiddy. "Are not Ghidora. You're a slightly demented crackpot who won't leave without a vicious, deadly spider at your side. Kovika." As Irrie twirled his staff, which had been his binding pole, getting back into the Frenchmen spirit, Kovika looked down at his hands, everything around him crackling for a minute until his eyes turned a light blue. "Y... You're right."

"Of course I'm right. I'm always bloody right." Dane grunted as he walked over to Fishers, a glaze lifting from his eyes. "I think it's time we go."

"Not yet." Fishers said. "What about Jakura, Shadow, and the real Ghidora?"

------------

"Wait."

All eyes turned as a sphere slowly approached the group, floating in midair. "We won't have any of these stupid 'break and come back' things in the middle of a chapter. I'm here, right now, to kill you."

The sphere unfolded, and a noble Miru-wearing Matoran with a wide grin and plated in gold was sitting inside. "Endgame, as need be."

Chapter 11

Before anyone could comprehend a proper reaction, The Editor spun downwards and flattened Icarusben into a pile of mush, Kasha barely escaping getting mashed. When Dallior's cordak hit the sphere and sent people flying, The Editor appeared unharmed by it.

"Oh ho ho ho, you really think that - that flimsy metalwork - was going to stop me?"

Fishers turned to the aid of Dane as Dalior fired more cordak missiles, while Shadow flung debris at the sphere. The Matoran didn't seem the same. He had been thrown into the vehicle by the blast and cracked his mask badly. He suddenly ran forwards, a snap heard as his legs extended to double their height, and he took to the air.

Landing on the side of The Editor's sphere, Dane's arms shattered their external layer and extended, and two silver prongs bust the mask after emerging from his cheeks. A disk of energy appeared in between them, but before he could fire it, The Editor spun the pod violently, and flung him off. Jakura then snatched the pod in his hand, and after absorbing it into his form, flung it towards the horizon, hiding it from view in half a second. It was as if his throw had broken the sound barrier.

"Dane..." Kovika said, stepping forwards and stammering. "You... You're a Vahki?"

"Shut up."

------------------

Unit walked slowly down the rusted stairs, carrying the limp form of a Matoran in his hand. The worry in his eye was enough to give his thoughts away. "They can't get to here. They'll only help him destroy everything."

What once had been called Kovika strode up behind him. "Do not fret yourself with their complications. They will come, and then they will see... For why should they resist a gentle hand, and the invitation of a landlord? Send them now. If they fight, they will lose."

"They're coming this way" said Unit, but a crackle from the Matoran he was holding cut him off. He angrily squeezed the neck until Tahu3.0's head met the floor.

-----------------

As the party walked, not daring to present any more question to Dane, Irrie suddenly ran forwards and disappeared behind a gate. After a few questionably long moments, he came back around, smiling behind his gunmetal mask. "Keep going, hon. Hon."

As they passed, Bonkle turned to glance at the unconscious form of Unit sitting behind the architecture.

The stairs to the odd crimson/gold tower were terribly rusted, and had been taken care of poorly. Bits of blood lined the sides, speckled with petals from no nearby tree. Kasha was the first to identify the beheaded form of Tahu3.0 in the corner. And worst of all, Chandelier stood at the head.

"Welcome, welcome, welcome." Ghidora chanted. "I've not only been expecting you, but anticipating it as well. Surely you know of the demise of this world?"

Liliathe was the first to charge, and foolish it was, for she was slammed abruptly by the oncoming hand of Ghidora. She had just enough time to recognize the corpse of Ouberry before a spear was thrust through her midsection, applying her rather neatly to the wall.

Dane fired a disk of freezing, which suddenly redirected itself in midair and struck Shadow, freezing his head. Unit began collecting himself at the back of the group, but was disabled by an EMP from Fishers. Jakura moved in from above, but was kept at bay when The Editor slammed his spherical machine into his head. Growling, he reached out for Chandelier, but some sense he had not felt in a long time reached him. Closing his eyes even as The Editor readied for another hit, he grasped out with his hand...

The Sword of Canon shattered the ceiling of the second story and flew into Jakura's hand, incinerating his massive for in an instant. There before the group stood once again a red warrior, wearing a red Hau Nuva, and wielding a golden blade known well throughout BZPower. With one slas-

Chapter 12

Dane jolted back in surprise, and resumed his seat.

--------------------

The Editor floated down, chuckling at how efficiently Hangdown had worked. "Of course, I don't think it would work the same in the past, but you see, I simply could not have Jakura be present for this."

Irrie darted forwards and to Dane's side. "Now if you gentlemen will excuse m-"

The large, slightly squat form of Ghidora slammed into the capsule and began scraping it with his claws, pumping magmatic energy into the casing in an attempt to melt it. The Editor sighed, gravitating the Sword of Canon from th immobile Jakura's hand and thrusting it into his midsection. Although clearly alive, Ghidora uttered no sound.

"I've gloated for long enough," He growled, "Time for my exit." With that, he flew back inside the tower. Dane hopped into flight mode and darted after, leaving Irrie to speak with Shadow, who was also immune.

---------------------

"I don't know how you survived Hangdown," growled The Editor, as he furiously tried to outrace the machine. "But you're staying here no matter what." He suddenly dove down a shaft in the floor, and Dane wasted no time in following. Inside he was greeted by the dark, red glow of the data columns.

To his shock, The Editor was smashing them apart one by one, not only causing lots of debris, but ripping the universe apart at the same time. "The power will be mine!!!"

---------------------

Arzaki opened his eyes.

Somehow, Hangdown had stopped working, and he awoke to the sight of Ghidora talking to Shadow and Irrie, as he had been driven to the floor, Jakura standing nearby, whips of energy appearing from in between his joints, his face showing slight signs of sorrow. "So you see, it was he I was fighting the whole time, not you..."

Shadow turned around abruptly and hung his head. "Ghiddy, I... How could this happen? You exposed the data columns... Let yourself get crushed by them... Just to stop him?"

As he spoke, the sky turned a sickly dark green, and some parts of the ground turned orange and molten. "It was nice - to s-ee you one more time, Jakura..." The figure slumped abruptly.

"Dane." Jakura spoke. "He is not what he seems. Somehow he knew about this... This all. But now, it is too late. The universe is about to die, and us with it. The only hope we have is that Dane succeeds."

--------------------

A large part of the final data column landed square onto Dane, flattening his head slightly and mangling one of his legs. "I can't stay any longer, Dane. The Universe awaits." He flew up a small hallway.

Dane puuuuuusssshsshshheedeeeed wwwiwiititithtthhthalalalalallalallaaaallll hiisissss mmmiiigiigghghththththhtttttt..... Aaaaaanaaanandnddnnd fffffrfrfrerreeeeeeeedeeddd hhihihiihiisiiseeeeeeeellflflffffffff. "Don't come any closer, you twit! I will NOT lose now!"

"B0uLd3rd4sh," Dane grumbled in a warped pitch and staggered forward, reality shredding behind him. "1'm c0m1ng fr y0u... R1gh7 n0w." He crawled up the hallway, part of the columns flying towards the wall. Inside The Editor was pumping the power of the universe into the Spiegel stone, which gladly accepted the generous quantities of energy. It finally was so full it created an alternate dimension in which to hold them. Grinning maniacally, he waved goodbye to Dane and activate the Spiegel stone to use this dimension.

--------------------

Bonkle stared at himself in bewilderment. He, along with Irrie, were floating and disintergrating at the same time. Before he could utter a word, he was gone, along with the beautiful baguette baker. "With Ghidora gone, my will is sapped, Jakura groaned. "I'll meet you all on the other side." He began drifting away in particles of earth and armour, until not even his mask remained. Fishers raced forwards in an attempt to save Dallior, but he was gone before she could touch him. "No! It can't end like this!"

Liliathe collapsed on the ground, a frozen look in her eyes. Shadow looked towards Kasha, who was weeping bitterly, and Icarusben, who had simply stopped altogether. Kovika walked up slowly. "I guess this is goodbye, Shadow. And goodbye, Ghidora."

With one final look at the corpse beside him, Shadow gave a solemn sigh as the universe erupted in one stroke.

--------------------

Dane felt the end coming.

He furiously clawed at the Spiegel stone, trying to get inside, finally activating it just as the energy wiped it from existence.

Chapter 13

Dane felt warm, moist grass beneath his face. He saw a couple of clovers, and a pine needle.

Using his arms, he pushed himself upwards slightly and began crawling towards forwards, passing by a few trees before things seemed to get brighter. He strained his maximum rotation settings to force himself upwards.

BZ-Nui.

Out in the distance rose the Kanohi Force tower, newly renovated from its previous location in the forest, which lay behind him. At the base he could distinctly make out the forms and colours of the Splitear Rangers, accompanying Shadow on a surveillance of the grounds in an attempt to find Ghidora. The coliseum shone in the sunlight, and in the far distance the bleaklands stretched to the horizon.

"Now, that was easier than I thought."

From behind the crackling, thunderous voice of The Editor emerged. Dane swiveled abruptly to face him. He was glowing with power, his eyes seemingly burning with the energy of a star. "If it was only so simple for you. Ahuhuhu, yes... Goodbye, Vahki Dane."

With a swing of his hand, Dane floated in midair, before being crushed into a disgruntled ball.

--------------------

The monitor went fuzzy. Dane leaned back in his chair, his brow sweating. "Well... I guess we were too late."
The inside of Hangdown was very dark. Almost all the light in the whole room came from the monitor itself, flickering constantly. The outline of the suited psycho himself was ever present, seated in a velvet chair right behind the Matoran. Long, white fingers tapped against each other, slowly, with an almost musical beat.

Four golden light shown suddenly and the figure slowly stood. "Well then... I think it's time we started really fighting, aye, old chap?"

Dane grumbled something about stereotypes and shut off the monitor.
