Ghidora131
Hey there. For those people who own LEGO Dimensions and/or any of the packs, how do the little stands work? I know you're supposed to have a minifig on it, but can you run it without? ro does it work on a weight basis as well? and what about the different builds; how can it tell them apart? Please only answer this if you actually own the above material; thank you.

Ta-metru_defender
Huh, that's actually really cool. And here I thought it was black magic. 1 Quote Hand-drawn, bespoke avatar by none other than Mushy the Mushroom. a body adrift in water, salt, and sky
Xeo
The minifigures don't need to be on the base at all. It is all about the Blue Circles they call Toy Tags. There are two kinds, the character ones, and the vehicle ones. The minigifure Toy Tag has a paint job on the top reflecting the character based on it, while the vehicle/object one is blank. When you place them on the portal there is a chip that gets read. The characters get read as who they are and can be played as them. The vehicles, though, are re-writable because you can rebuild the object. Quote ~Xeo~
