Naota Takizawa Posted October 21, 2015 Share Posted October 21, 2015 If I remember correctly, the 2001 story involved the Toa Mata going around the island looking for their great kanohi and the Toa Nuva had to find kanohi nuva after they lost their elemental powers, but there are a few questions I have to raise.How'd the masks end up on the island? I don't recall the Toa Metru taking any masks with them, only kanoka, vehicles and the matoran spheres. Why are the masks scattered? The only idea I have for this happening would be Teridax deciding to have a little fun and put all the great+noble kanohi in dangerous areas as a joke of some kind. There are 36 kanohi nuva, yet only six were seen to be created. How'd the other 26 kanohi nuva come into existence? If you like Pingu & want to support a good project, click here. The Kanohi got scattered across the island because...Rahi carried them around. The Metru brought plenty of masks with them, in case the Matoran's broke, it was just so urgent that Jala get a replacement, the need arose to give him Lhikan's. The Metru brought plenty of masks with them, in case the Matoran's broke, it was just so urgent that Jala get a replacement, the need arose to give him Lhikan's.I'm pretty sure that once the toa got all their normal kanohi, they fused them together to make golden kanohi and they were replaced, meaning the suvas would have no masks after their transformation. I'm pretty sure those kanohi that the rahi were wearing didn't have powers. only infected masks and even if they did have powers before being infected, can a mask be cleansed? Also, how would the Metru know to bring specific types of kanohi? They could've just brought tons of powerless kanohi to the island. (On a sidenote, imagine how awesome the kanohi dragon would be if it could use mask powers. E.g. shielding, waterbreathing, levitation, speed, strength & X-ray vision.) Let me elaborate, the Toa Metru brought a bunch of powerless Kanohi to the island, but there were some Toa Level ones that accidentally wound up in the mix, Rahi got into the Kanohi storage, took a bunch for no apparent reason, and carried them off to do whatever Rahi would need supplies for. WAIT Artakha was only involved in scattering the Kanohi Nuva (2003). The Great and Noble Kanohi from 2001 had a different story. The Great and Noble Kanohi were originally found in the Great Temple in Metru Nui. They were brought to the island by the Toa Metru. They hid the Great Kanohi as a test to make sure that whatever Toa arrived were not secretly servants of Makuta, and kept the noble masks for their own use after transforming. During the Dark Time, Teridax's Rahi stole the Noble Kanohi and hid those as well. As stated earlier, the Great Kanohi were fused into the Golden Masks and transformed into Kanohi Nuva.
