The Judge's role was to judge the merits of those beings revived by the Red Star, deciding through his court whether they should be granted passage to Artakha, simply returned to their prior home, or sent to Karzahni for rehabilitation. However, the Judge grew increasingly corrupt as time passed, the Judge's own greed and prejudice overriding virtue and reason. As his mind was warped, so was his body, transforming him into a monstrosity which only grew more horrific as his sanity deteriorated. His corruption activated a failsafe in the Red Star, shutting down the mechanism of return to the Matoran Universe so that he could no longer allow the unworthy into Artakha, let the wicked roam free, or condemn innocents to Karzahni. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
