Naota Takizawa
Has there been a set limit as to how far the X-ray vision extends or how much the scope can magnify? The 1st Shadow
There most likely is a limit, but I can't think of any material that would specify what that range is. Regitnui
Sight range. (12km on an earth-sized planet). The scope gives the user a better view of the distance, but is not an inherent part of the mask power. So kopaka using his scope was looking through the scope with the mask power on, not using the mask power to look through the scope. 3 Quote Elemental Rahi in Gen2, anyone? A write-up for an initial video for a G2 plot I really wish everyone would stop trying to play join the dots with Gen 1 and Gen 2 though,it seems there's a couple new threads everyday and often they're duplicates of already existing conversations! Or simply parallel them with a slightly new 'twist'! Gen 2 is NEW, it is NOT Gen 1 and it is NOT a continuation. Outside of the characters we already have I personally don't want to see ANY old characters return. I think it will cheapen the whole experience to those of us familiar with the original line... Or were you referring to the scope's magnification? Sure, you can see to the horizon, but does the scope let you discern individual trees, or a fly, or a microbe, etc.?

Here's the quote: Something – I don't know what – suddenly prompted me to combine the power of my Mask of X-Ray Vision with the telescope's ability. I focused on the red star ... and stumbled back, shocked. For I had seen inside the star, and where I expected there to be a fiery heart of energy, I instead saw ... I can hardly even carve the words on this stone ...There was something alive inside the star! The mask wouldn't be doing anything special to work with the scope, as Regitnui was saying. If there's a big tower that's too far away for you to see it clearly, the mask will still work, but you won't be able to see what's inside the tower any clearer than what's on the outside. If you use the scope, you can now see the tower clearly, and if you activate the mask while looking through the scope, you can see inside clearly too. ~Unit#phntk#1 1 Quote BIONICLE MAFIA XLII: GRAVEYARD
Master Inika
I believe the Akaku could, under normal circumstances, only see as far as the user could normally, with the X-ray going just that far. The scope greatly increased the range. Also, I do believe the walls of Karda Nui were not look-through-able. 1 Quote "You are an absolute in these uncertain times. Ta-metru_defender
*runs into topic* Curvature of the eaaaaaaaaaaaaaarth! In other words: It's a magical scope that can see as far as possible (or until the Earth/planet/giantrobot) curves away. By extension of that, the magic mask will be able to magically apply x-ray vision to anything it can see. Why? Magic. There's probably also some magical failsafe to prevent you from, like, looking inside everything at once. Unless you want to (because magic). Rahkshi Lalonde
by my assumptions and logics: the mask (without scope) can see through objects as far as you physically can, and, assuming it's using actual x-radiation, probably has a shorter range when peering at x-ray resistant materials. o: with scope it can look who knows how far, but i think there's a certain limit to how many objects you can peer through before you suffer the most powerful weakness it could have, a pounding headache!
Toa of Ice - 1987
My guess is this Standard Akaku: Can see through walls(thickness)/ and distance of 2 meters? Scoped Version: Allows a zoom increase of 4-6x .meters like a sniper scope Nuva mask: no range increase but can see through any illusion and any wall thickness except for unique places like karda nui outer walls. Addon on others masks like matatu: increased zoom ability depending on users. Edited November 22, 2015 by ---Kopaka Nuva---

The Telekinesis, Night Vision and Quick Travel all benefit off having an enhanced visual range. Quote Elemental Rahi in Gen2, anyone?
