Quake 2 Arsenal

I hate cameras.  Nothing more to say on that subject.  Anyway, in other news...

 

Quake 2 is my all time favorite videogame.  It's the first one I ever played, and in my opinion, there aren't many other shooters that can hold a candle to it.  Once you've laid eyes on the Hyperblaster, all other guns seem drab by comparison.  And I've yet to play another game that lets you mow down teletubbies with rocket launchers.

 

Yes, you read that right.

 

Ah, good times, good times...

This is the entire arsenal of Quake 2 weaponry, excluding the handgrenade, in Lego bricks.  I wasn't sure whether or not to put these in the SBC or BBC forum... they all use a LOT of System parts, probably a 60:40 System to Technic ratio.  On the other hand, they all fit perfectly on an Inika clone, as Pharaoh demostrates.  Yep, that's Pharaoh, the quite fashionable Dark Hunter with the protosteel mohawk and more or less my self-MOC.  I mean, he's the only one on my shelf that's managed to stay in one piece for more than three months.  Probably not the best idea to use a black-and-red guy to show off primarily black weaponry, but I didn't have any other Inika clones on hand.

BLASTER:
A nerf gun.  Ha ha.  Very funny.  Now give me my shotgun back.

SHOTGUN:
Now this is more like it! ...why does it sound like it's shooting dried lentils?

SUPER SHOTGUN:
Hot double-barreled doomsday with a side of buckshot.  Looks, feels, and most importantly, sounds like a shotgun should.  I prefer mine with longer barrels, so have pics of both versions.

MACHINEGUN:
I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.  Since the weapon's so compact, you can take the stock off and use it as a pistol.

Pull trigger, empty ammo supply, hunt for bullets, repeat.  Now with an ammo belt.

GRENADE LAUNCHER:
The gun with the most interesting death messages.

Simplicity in weaponry:  Pull trigger, things go boom.

HYPERBLASTER:
Half plasma rifle, half chaingun, 100% awesome... and my personal favorite.  Four rotating barrels fire white-hot bursts of energy at breakneck speeds.

The gun that launched a thousand Instagib matches.  Also my brother's favorite method of trolling.

BFG10K:

Ironically, one of the smaller guns.  If you don't know what BFG stands for... don't ask.  Unfortunately the overview pics are so blurry I'm not even going to post the links.

So yeah!  All the Quake 2 guns, now available to wreak havoc on your local Bohrok, Rahkshi, or Visorak infestation.  Or Toa, if you're into that kindof thing.  I won't say anything =P
