bohrokman
what is the best star wars constraction set in your opinion to me it is jango fett but i'm extremely biased because of my obsession with all things mandalore (watch everyone hate the guy who choses luke ) Quote Here came the bride all dressed in white I wish it was red then you all be dead
Aanchir
Of the six released so far, Obi-Wan, probably. I like his head sculpt (though its size means it might be tougher to use in MOCs than I'd anticipated), he's generally well armored, and his costume is one of the more interesting ones visually (not as monochrome as many of the others). He has less brick-built equipment than Luke, Cody, or Jango (just a cape and a lightsaber, no backpack, jetpack, or blaster), but I still really like his design.I don't know if I can pick a favorite of the six coming out in January until we have better pics, because renders from the LEGO Club Magazine generally don't show sets in the best light. Naota Takizawa
Grievous is the best set in my opinion, he's the only easily accessible set with tan CCBS pieces and he comes with a good variety of them, like the useful greaves, 4M shell, breastplate and torso piece. Agreed. It also helps that he's a cyborg to begin with, so the CCBS parts are well-suited to his appearance. Not to mention he comes with four lightsabers. Petewa
I dunno, I've got an obsession with Jango, and his is the only set through which one can obtain sand blue CCBS, although huge it may be, I guess I might buy a second of him, just don't have the heart to cannibalize him. Aanchir
Haven't gotten any since they're so ridiculously expensive, but definitely Grievous.Hey, Disney's squeezing every cent out of Lego for their licensing fees, can you blame them for making grievous and the weaker sets cost $45-$20? I guess you're from Canada? Grievous is only $35 in the United States. And I wouldn't blame the cost entirely on licensing fees, since he includes slightly more pieces than the $30 USD / $40 CAD Mask Maker vs. Skull Grinder, and is about the same height as the $30 USD Takanuva set from 2008 or the $30 USD / $40 CAD Witch Doctor set from 2011. So yeah, without a license attached, he might have been $30 USD / $40 CAD ($5 cheaper than his base price in both currencies), but probably no cheaper. Kopekemaster
Oh, wait, Grievous is only $35? For some reason I thought he was like $45 or something. (And I'm in the US.) Master Inika
Best is easily Grievous, for all the reasons named before (mainly that CCBS suits his actual appearance so well). Of the remaining five, Jango. Cody's legs look too unarmored, Luke and Obi-Wan have those creepy heads, and Vader is needlessly complicated. I plan on only buying Grievous, Cody, and Jango. 1 Quote "You are an absolute in these uncertain times. Your past is forgotten, and your future is an empty book. masterchirox580
Grevious looks the best. He really shows off what can be done with CCBS and looks the most film accurate. Quote It's time to move on.
Bfahome
Having Grievous, he doesn't actually look particularly film-accurate. He's closer to his appearance in The Clone Wars; bulkier and more hunched than in Episode III. But he's definitely the one that looks the most fitting in CCBS, not having to conform to human anatomy. So Grievous is definitely cool, though I will say preemptively that Captain Phasma is pretty neat also, by nature of being Captain Phasma. Can't wait until the next wave of sets becomes available. Lyichir
Im going to get crucified for this, but i think the Rey figure looks, good. Not the best but really good.I definitely agree—her face piece is one of the best human face sculpts we've gotten (which kind of makes it a shame that its use is limited by that headwrap, but whatever), her build is solid and uses a lot of unique recolors and fabric elements, and her staff weapon offers some nice variety in a wave where most characters just use lightsabers and blasters. Of next year's figures, I'll probably be picking up Rey and Finn. Both because they're interesting figures and I loved those characters in the movie. Poe is decent but his execution is a little more uneven than the others, and the First Order figures have fewer new parts and represent fairly ordinary armored characters. Aanchir
I think I'm now ready to say Rey is my favorite Star Wars buildable figure yet. Now, Rey isn't flawless. Her head sculpt would be much more useful without any kind of headgear. She doesn't have coverings on the back of her legs, or a holster for her pistol (though these two things are very easy to fix). She also doesn't have a functioning blaster. Nevertheless, these are fairly minor flaws, and they are ameliorated by the fact that she is being sold at the $20 price point, the lowest price point for these figures. Ballom Nom Nom
I've only seen Grievous in person, so my perception may be biased, but I'd say he's definitely my favorite. I'll echo the sentiments that he was one of the easiest to adapt to CCBS due to not being a human, and he just has a tremendous presence due to his bulk. I'm definitely a big fan of his set. ~B~
Master Inika
Of the 2016 wave, I'm only getting the First Order Stormtrooper and Captain Phasma. I still think CCBS looks the best on fully-armored characters. Rey's head does look decent, but her arms and legs look so inorganic with CCBS. I do appreciate what I assume to be her gear function. Poe and Finn look all right, but not really worth getting. Tempted to buy Kylo, but I'm still not sold on these Buildable Figures enough to put more money into the ones that don't immediately jump to me (Stormtrooper and Phasma). Tempted to buy Kylo, but I'm still not sold on these Buildable Figures enough to put more money into the ones that don't immediately jump to me (Stormtrooper and Phasma). The First Order Stormtrooper and Captain Phasma are easily some of the most aunthentic-looking characters in this series so far, but from a design standpoint they kind of bore me. They're very monochrome, and their armor design in the sets is pretty generic, and not much different from other Star Wars figures like Cody, Jango, and even Kylo Ren (though Kylo Ren has the cloth parts to help him stand out). The "good guy" characters (besides Luke) tend to have a lot more interesting outfits and color schemes, IMO. I will say that I would be a LOT more interested in Phasma and the First Order Stormtrooper as parts packs if my brother and I hadn't already bought Jango and Obi-Wan, who they share a lot of their armor pieces with. But because we did already get those two sets, some of the only parts from Phasma and the Stormie that I don't already have are Phasma's cape and the 6M shells on their thighs, which are new in both White and Silver. The helmets and blasters too, but I don't have a whole lot of use for Star Wars helmets in MOCs, and the blasters also come with Finn and Poe. Before I saw The Force Awakens, I really didn't have much personal interest in this series except as parts packs. But now that I've seen the movie I can also relate to its protagonists a lot better as characters, arguably better than any of the PT/OT characters from the first wave. So I might even keep Finn and Rey together longer before I start borrowing parts from them for MOCs. We'll see! Bfahome
The only sets I really want from this wave are Phasma and the Stormtrooper, but I will come right out and say that's because I love the First Order Stormtrooper helmet design. The sets themselves are definitely rather bland, and as far as parts go I'm more interested in what Kylo and Rey have to offer (mold-wise, color-wise, and cloth-wise). (I recently got Jango and Cody, and I found them to be surprisingly good, but with an important distinction: they're good LEGO sets, not necessarily good LEGO sets. That is, their overall look is very solid, but their build is rather bland and not many of their pieces are particularly interesting.) Xan
Phasma looks great in my opinion, in any pose, as well as that nice cape piece. The best build would be grievous though imo. Edited December 30, 2015 by Craig B

J46 Nui
I only have the first wave, but out of those, Grievous followed by Vader. When I first saw an image of Grievous, I thought that he looked like a bit of a mess, but he looks really good in hand. Vader would have been my favorite, but I dislike how his cloak is connected. 1 Quote PSN ID: darthlegoGamertag: SPARTAN J46Steam name: jumpy46
