Hapori Tohu
The LEGO Mixels website has shared part two of their Mixels documentary video series, titled "The History of Mixels". This installment explains how LEGO and Cartoon Network came together to develop the Mixels series based on a project called "Hungry Monsters" from the LEGO Group's secretive Concept Lab. Some of the Hungry Monsters prototypes shown in the video feature design cues that you might recognize from some of the finished Mixels sets! Follow the link above to watch the video! masterchirox580
I don't how you could sell a theme with the title "hungry monsters". The early prototypes look a lot more animal based. Quote It's time to move on.
Lyichir
I don't how you could sell a theme with the title "hungry monsters". The early prototypes look a lot more animal based. Prototypes are prototypes for a reason. This applies to names, too. "Hungry Monsters" may not be that stellar a name for marketing but it's perfectly fine for internal use while the theme is still in its infancy. As much as VooDoo Heads are prototypes of Bionicle, Hungry Monsters doesn't seem like it could sell well. Mixels is more than just creatures who love to eat. I like that there are many unique elements. Anyway, it's great that we have these documentaries about the Mixels. They tell the historical information very well. I wonder if there will be more, where they would talk about the voice actors and animations. Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!
