Smitty Posted January 5, 2016 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Has anyone else noticed that most of the Nexo Knights have coats of arms similar to or identical to old LEGO Castle theams? Clay has the old Black Falcon coat of arms,Aaron's fox is near identical to the World Pack's coat of arms. Axl'so wearing a Cedric the Bull like shield. Macy's dragon is not as close to the dragon knight's coat of arms but the conection is there. Lance is the only one not calling back to old castle theams. Lyichir Posted January 5, 2016 Share Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) If you want connections, the most obvious and indisputable one is on the stickered holograms atop the Fortrex's towers. They're all labeled "375-6075" which represents the set numbers for the "Yellow Castle" (the very first Lego castle set) in Europe and America, respectively.In terms of media, some of the prerelease videos for the theme featured knights from that same set, and one of the latest mini-movies had the characters going to see the premiere of the movie "The Golden Castle". A lot of shout-outs to that one Castle set that started it all!Finally, while it's not a shout-out to a Castle theme, the Nexo Knights app apparently features a Nexo Power with the Classic Space logo! Wrong! Actually, it was just Lance on his own attending the premiere of a different film called "Joust the two of us", whilst the other knights were off fighting a battle elsewhere in the kingdom (which Lance was dragged off to alongside that creepy reporter). However, he was tipped for the lead role of a reboot of "The Golden Castle", but he wasn't attending the premiere for it. See, I was paying attention! Meanwhile, a list of the TV show's initial episodes has appeared and there are a couple of classic castle references on there, including a full episode based on "The Golden Castle"... Also, Fright Knights reboot 2017 confirmed confirmed. Quote "In the beginning the Universe was created. In the sets, it's unsurprising—it's exceptionally rare for any Castle theme to introduce more than two factions within its first year, especially for a big bang theme like Nexo Knights that's already teeming with unique minifigure characters. But for all we know, there still might be Forestmen or Forestmen shout-outs in the TV series or other media! And who knows what the theme might have in store for future years.
