Calm down, chaps, please. Antipathy of this sort has no place in a Mafia game.

exactly why petewa constantly voting for nato is annoying.

A fair point. But perpetuating it doesn't help.

That said, as the host, I should like to remind you, Petewa, that deliberately antagonizing another member amounts to flaming, which is against the BZP guidelines.

Having listened to the scene, I must admit that it's quite a classic.

While I admire the creativity and fine taste in classical music, I sorely would appreciate a transcript of this scene, please, Mr. Quisoves.

I'll vote once I've figured out what is going on.

Alright, sorry about that. Here you go:

Transcript

This is the story of Manducus and the Mafia. It is not an ordinary story. Though it has a narrator, he merely serves to set the scene. The bulk of the story is told by music. To be precise, each character is played by a piece of classical music.

The part of Manducus, the innocent villager, will be played by Gluck's Dance of the Blessed Spirits.

[Excerpt plays]

The part of the Mafia will be played by Kachaturian's Sabre Dance.

[Excerpt plays]

The part of the Voodoo Master will be played by Saint-Sans' Danse Macabre.

[Excerpt plays]

And the part of the new cultist will be played by the same composer's Aquarium.

[Excerpt plays]

The part of the Potoo will be played by the anonymously composed Woodycock.

[Excerpt plays]

The part of Kartawny will be played by Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain

[Excerpt plays]

The part of the Castaway will be played by Ferde Grofé's On the Trail.

[Excerpt plays]

Finally, the part of the Village will be played by Chabrier's Village Dance.

[Excerpt plays]

Manducus and the Mafia.

It was a terribly pleasant night, which made the prospect of the inevitable nocturnal walk all the more appealing. This appeal was in no way lessened by the guilt many villagers felt at the unfortunate death of Ghidora.

One such villager, Manducus, was traipsing about the foothills of the island, throwing care to the wind.

[A snippet of Dance of the Blessed Spirits plays]

Unbeknownst to him, he was being followed.

[brief snippet of the Sabre Dance]

His stealthy pursuer was none other than a member of the Mafia.

[An even briefer snippet ensues]

Elsewhere on the island, a sad primordial being crept through the forest.

[A snippet of Woodycock, interspersed with MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMs, plays]

All seemed to be going well for him, until, turning a corner, he beheld his nemesis, Kartawny.

[Night on Bald Mountain]

"I'll tear you limb from limb," his nemesis screamed.

[Night on Bald Mountain]

With every fiber of his aged being, the Potoo bolted.

[Alarmed MOOOOOOOOOOM]

[Night on Bald Mountain]

Over hill and dale they ran, the Potoo carrying on through sheer force of will alone.

[Night on Bald Mountain, interspersed with Woodycock and MOOOOOOOOOOOMs]

[Night on Bald Mountain abruptly segues into On the Trail]

Kartawny would no doubt have caught his prey, there and then, had it not been for the intrusion of a certain Matoran...

[On the Trail]

"Beware, eldritch beasts, for I am trained in the art of Pakari Nui," said the Castaway, trying not to look frightened.

[On the Trail, interspersed with Night on Bald Mountain, Woodycock, and MOOOOOOOOOOOOMs]

Kartawny, surprised, fled. The Potoo, however, was not so lucky. He proved all too susceptible to the Xian Nerve-Pinch, drifting into unconsciousness with a slight MOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

Amidst the grove of decaying, tumor-ridden trees, sat a Matoran every bit as rotten.

[Danse Macabre]

Indeed, this was the Voodoo Master.

Agitated after the failure of the previous night, he once more began to weave a web of dark dreams.

[Danse Macabre, interspersed with Aquarium]

"There is no thing so reviled by the universe at large that it has power over the Cult. The Steam Men of the Southern Isles are but as insects compared to our might!"

Suddenly, these words echoed in the mind of a sleeping, helpless villager. In his mind's eye, the sleeper saw a horrid figure, a wicker man, woven from fears and nightmares and regrets.

[Aquarium, interspersed with Danse Macabre]

"Come into the Cult, my child," it said, with a voice that smelt of rotten meat.

Transfixed, the villager's will buckled. He yielded, his mind no longer his own.

In that horrid dreamscape, he lifted up his arms and screamed out to the horizon: "The Cult flows through me, I am one with the Cult!"

[Aquarium and Danse Macabre alternate.]

All the while, Manducus was ambling blithely through the foothills, unaware of his imminent demise.

[Dance of the Blessed Spirits]

Overcome with serenity, Manducus decided to root around in the daisies for a while. His pursuer, spying an opportunity, broke cover. But Manducus was too quick for him. With a yelp, the frightened villager ran as fast as his little form would carry him.

[Sabre Dance, interspersed with Dance of the Blessed Spirits]

[Presently, Dance of the Blessed Spirits speeds up, becoming faster every time it plays.]

Manducus ran and ran and ran and ran. Try as he might, he could not shake his pursuer. The Mafioso gained on him.

[Sabre Dance, Dance of the Blessed Spirits (even faster)]

And gained on him.

[Ditto]

And gained on him.

[Ditto]

And gained on him.

[The Sabre Dance, Dance of the Blessed Spirits (loosing steam, quickly slowing.)]

Until, with an elegant snap!

[The Sabre Dance]

No more Manducus.

Day came, and the Villagers discovered Manducus' horrid fate.

[The Village Dance]

Once more, they were in quite a tizzy. Inevitably, they returned to their pastime of the previous day, all remorse vanished from their minds.

Once more they would act as judges, jury, and executioners.

[The Village Dance]

righto, finally was able to listen to the scene so time to vote. And since there's not any clues, time for RNG. voting for people with votes in the order they're on the suspect list

Xoa8crX.png

...RNG told me to vote for a confirmed innocent (Shadowhawk) so i'll just vote Petewa instead. since voting confirmed innocents is stupid.

You know what, I'm fine with a quadruplehang, and as such I shall hold off on my vote unless it is needed to kill more.

Correction, since someone had to go and ruin a perfectly good bloodbath, I shall vote for Pulse. There will be death.

Also do not question the wisdom of the RNG, if it tells you to vote an innocent, it must know something we don't.

But the innocent list is who isn't the Mafioso that killed tonight, and the Mafia is village this game

I mean, we could vote for people on the innocent list in hopes of finding the Voodoo Master, but personally I doubt he's on the list. I have an hunch that the VD Master is Luroka, but that is unsubstantiated.

Well I could say that I am most certainly not the Voodoo Master, (I actually was not aware that was a role, I don't pay much attention to the roles unless I am given one) But you could simply choose not to believe me.

That's exactly what the Voodoo Master would say.

I vote Petewa because I don't want to die. Who does? Not me, not you. Probably not Petewa, either, but unless I vote him it's my head that'll roll, and my head's not very good at rolling.

Where did this bandwagon for me even come from?

On Bota Magna, everything is about to fall apart.

But how would anyone but the Voodoo Master know what the Voodoo Master would say? You must be the Voodoo Master.

But, wait. If you're the Voodoo Master, you would know what the Voodoo Master would say, which means Luroka said what you said the Voodoo Master would say, while you didn't say what you said the Voodoo Master would say. This would seem to indicate that Luroka is the Voodoo Master, even though, as we just established, you're the Voodoo Master.

The only conclusion I can come to is that there are actually two Voodoo Masters, you and Luroka.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
