Marendar, Bain of The Toa

[Void Adept]

Forged from a few years of refinements and rebuilds, this is my definition of The Marendar.

In the G1 lore, Marendar was a unique creation of the Great Beings. It was created as a safeguard against the Toa, should any of them go rogue against the Agori, or even the Matoran and Mata Nui. Sealed within a metallic Protodermis cage, he was finally released following Makuta Teridax’s defeat. However beyond this, we know nothing as the Bionicle G1 story ended shortly after. The model stands at about 40 CM tall, depending on how much grip his legs can get, weighs about one and a half kilos, and consists of an estimated 1200+ pieces, including the Fission Harpoon he wields.

And you certainly came in with a bang! Holy karzfire, this is colossal! The size and scale alone are enough to rocket it to glory! Even after scale, this is just so cool looking!

Wow this is big, building at this scale is an accomplishment in and of it self so bravo. That said

• His thumbs are longer than his claws, that might need changing
• The grey blends into the silver, which is pretty neat. The colour scheme as a whole is okay but not eye grabbing
• Chains on the wrists are a nice detail
• A wonderful creation

Impressive! Definitely not what I expected, but nevertheless, a striking model! It's somewhat reminiscent of Nidhiki.

Very impressive this. It emanates immense power and presence, the cables on its torso indicating the work-in-progress the Great Beings were doing on it when it escaped.

If only BIONICLE had continued, we might've got a Titan set for this bad boy.
