Adaptive High-Mobility Infantry Unit Doora

Recommended Posts

The Wonderful 101 has a special place in my heart, so I wanted to make a MOC from the game.

This one is an advanced infantry unit of the alien invaders called GEATHJERK, capable of moving so fast that the human eyes can not perceive it. Highly lethal for human civilization, these high-tech mechs can only be countered with the Unite Bomb technique, slowing time around them. There are three variations: the normal golden Doora with claws, purple Surey Doora equipped with magnetic shurikens and Gurry Doora, dark grey and armed with two huge drills.

Also, I unofficially confess my love towards Exo-Force robot arms.

Secondly, yes, my "lightbox" is a folded A2 paper.

Thirdly, images have been changed to some better lit ones. Old ones are in the gallery linked above.

Criticism, comments, insults, all is welcomed!

(Man, I hate this enemy...)

This is actually a pretty good rendition of this enemy, as the pieces make it recognisable, especially around the head area. I like the Creative use of parts, such as the Olmak and Tarix Blades, but my main gripe has to be that the lighting isn't very good. Other than that, it's a pretty good build!

I agree with Darth.  In terms of representing the character, you did a heckuva job.  Even the tail has a trans-blue tip, just the the pic.  It's those kinds of details that really nail it.

But I too wish you had some brighter lighting.  It's great that you made a white background to provide a lot of contrast to the color of the MOC.  But there still just isn't enough light to really make the details and textures pop/show up.  Have you tried using the flash on your phone? Sometimes that works.  I've gotten the best results by opening all the curtains/blinds in the room, and set up the MOC on the side of the room that receives the most sunlight.  It seems like such a silly thing, but try it and you'll be amazed by the difference that extra light will make.

In any case, great MOC dude.
