Hapori Tohu
Battling the forces of Fang-Suei, the upgraded ninjas have new equipment and armor to fight off their new foes. The new Ninjago sets have appeared on Shop At Home, just in time for the holiday season. Check them out to see if they are worthy of your wish list. View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A

Kopekemaster
Um.....Probably not. This is supposed to be ninjas, right.........Not the Air Force. The actual SETs look nice, but not for Ninjas. Aanchir
Personally, I love the new Ninjago sets, but unfortunately my favorite set from the upcoming wave, the Destiny's Bounty, isn't yet up on Shop.LEGO.com.BTW, the news article is a bit misleading. Fang-Suei isn't a terribly important villain from what we've seen so far. In general the enemies of Sensei Wu's Ninja in the upcoming wave are called the Serpentine. Also I love how many people feel the theme doesn't make sense, on a website for a theme that started with what boils down to magical robots on a tropical island. Sumiki
Also I love how many people feel the theme doesn't make sense, on a website for a theme that started with what boils down to magical robots on a tropical island. In all fairness, do any LEGO lines really make any sense? :PPersonally, I'm not a huge Ninjago fan - I don't know if it's the sets, the concept, or the fact that ninjas are flying around in the air in their second-hand FA-22 Raptors when they really ought not be doing that.Either way, the parts do look rather interesting. I might pick some up once they go on sale individually. Edited December 6, 2011 by Sumiki Quote avatar by Lady Kopaka

Dark_Stranger
I kind of liked it better when the Ninjas had dragons instead of vehicles, but their vehicles are still pretty cool, so I don't mind too much. The minifigures are also quite impressive, and the sets look like they're a veritable goldmine of parts. Overall, an excellent continuation of an excellent theme."That is not dead which can eternal lie, / And with strange aeons even death may die." I might pick some up once they go on sale individually.Correction: Magical, transforming second-hand FA-22 Raptors. One of the things I like best about Ninjago is its absurdity and its uniqueness. It doesn't try to be realistic-- instead, it blends historical or fantasy-based elements with more modern elements almost strictly based on Rule of Cool. With that said, my favorites of the sets tend to be the slightly historical/fantasy-leaning ones like the Lightning Dragon, the Fire Temple, and the Destiny's Bounty. But I still appreciate the artistry of the functions and designs for the more modern-looking vehicle sets. The new vehicles for the Ninja each fit their rider's personality, while the brick-built faces on the skeleton and snake vehicles are marvelously artistic. It also helps that its cast of characters is so diverse, its theme music is so dynamic, its TV episodes are so well-animated, and its story is in the hands of creative experts like Greg Farshtey. Besides not having action figures or a larger-than-life online adventure game, it really has just about everything that made BIONICLE so appealing to me from year one, and then some.
