Takanuinuva
You might remember the Skeleton Dragon moc I posted years ago. Well since then I've made even more changes to it. I'm only able to post pictures now since we got new parts in LDD.Changes from the last one are a new brick built head, Brick built legs and wings and some slight torso tweaks. I only have LDD pictures but will post real life pictures once a Bricklink order comes in.I'm 90% sure this is the final version but who knows maybe as more new pieces are created I'll find a use for them to improve the design furtherGallery when publichttp://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=563306 Lxf filehttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon.lxf Pictureshttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon_1.png http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon_2.png http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon_3.png http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon_4.png http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon_5.png http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon_6.png http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/skeleton_dragon_7.png As a bonus an Lxf file for a smaller more minifig scale sized skeleton dragon (Real life pictures of it will be posted as well)http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/SkeletonDragon/mini_skeleton_dragon.lxf Comments and criticism appreciated 2 Quote I am Takanui Nuva. Huichelaar
I really like the way it looks. The face is particularly intimidating. Does the jaw move? Oh, and Idk about those pieces making up the elbows. It looks to me like it could easily bend through all the way without a lot of friction stopping it. I'm not a fan of the stud pieces sticking out, but that might just be a matter of taste. I'm also not a big fan of the colour scheme, but seeing how it's a skeleton it inevitably has to have the white and grey and such after all. I used 3 of those hinge plates and they have some friction in the real life model. Though the weight of the torso sometimes causes them to bend to far when I move the dragon for posing. I haven't come up with a better solution that still gets this good a shape to the legs. If they ever make a plate version of these I'l gladly switch out for them.http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=30540#T=Chttp://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=30541#T=C Quote I am Takanui Nuva. This has certainly improved a great deal since the very first versions. Though I'm not too crazy about how dense some of the parts look. I'm now tempted to make one of those! Valendale
I still get excited whenever I see a skeletal dragon, and this is one of the best yet. Big fan of the head.
