Pahrak Model ZX
BIONI-LORDS BOOK 3: KAKO PREVIEW 2“Must you always tag along like a lost puppy?” Zempyst sighed, not even bothering to look over her shoulder.“Come on, Sparky, you love the attention!” Aile said, following just behind her. “Besides, your island is right on the way.”“No, it really isn’t,” Zempyst argued. “Honestly Aile, I thought you’d calm down at least a little bit after eighty years.”“If I calmed down, I wouldn’t as fun,” Aile chuckled. The two Element-Lords entered Mutant-Isle’s Battlefield, and inside they found three people waiting for them. The first you are familiar with, and have probably guessed—Norscu, the First Rahaga-Lord, who had called this meeting. The second you may remember—a tall woman with long blonde hair, tied into a ponytail, and wearing a plain yellow dress—Avanda, the First Light-Lord, at this point retired from her position and married to Norscu. The third, however, is a stranger to you, reader—a large, muscular man covered in battle scars and surrounded by a pleasant, friendly air, largely due to the seemingly immortal smile that crossed his face. He had thin brown hair on the top of his head and wide eyes that seemed to be hazel with a tinge of red or pink, and he wore blue jeans, a medium gray t-shirt, and bands of dark brown metal around his wrists. This stranger is Vitirus, the First Stone-Lord, also retired at this point and electing to live on Mutant-Isle, for Norscu and Avanda were his best friends, and he wished for nothing more than to be surrounded by good friends.“Norscu, and his retired sidekicks!” Aile greeted, waving her hand like an excited child. “What’s new?”“That’s what I asked you here to discuss,” Norscu said. “Although apparently you two are the only ones who could show up…”“Add one,” called a voice as another woman entered the Battlefield. This woman sported rather long, light brown hair that reached straight down her back, and bright green eyes that seemed to have a hint of blue in them. She was dressed in a pink blouse and a skirt of identical design, and she seemed to eye everything—and everyone—with a keen, observant look that seemed to thinly disguise a deep understanding of whatever it fell upon.Psionic-Lord Cerveau turned this gaze on Norscu as she chided, “So impatient, Norscu, so impatient! Avanda, haven’t you fixed that yet?”“Believe me, I’ve tried,” Avanda said, harmless annoyance at the heart of her voice, “but Vitirus has undermined all of my efforts.”Vitirus’s undying smile widened as he said, “Oh come, we’re here to discuss business!”“Business you’re no longer a part of, old friend,” Zempyst said.“Ah, Zempyst, your bolts still sting,” Vitirus said, though his tone prevented the statement from conveying any genuine sense of injury. “And Cerveau—you’ve changed your appearance again? Why change when you were already so beautiful?”“We’ve already been through this, Vit, and I know you remember,” Cerveau said, lightly tapping her own forehead. “All it takes is a telepathic touch.”“I love reunions,” said Aile, with a sigh of nostalgia. “Anywho, Norscu, what’s so important we had to meet face-to-face?”“I’ve been keeping an eye on some special youths, and I don’t want certain people knowing,” Norscu said, casting a quick glance around the room. “They’re already in conflict with the Shadow Consortium, and I don’t want to make it worse.”Zempyst’s eyes almost doubled in size as she responded, “Kids? Going up against the Shadow Consortium? Wait, just for clarity: they’re still alive, right?”“Why else would I say ‘special youths’?” Norscu said with a dismissive shrug. “…Well…one does have a King Bohrok…”“A REAL King Bohrok?” Cerveau asked, her look of knowledge temporarily giving way to surprise. “The sentient kind? Fascinating…I thought it was time for a war, but I didn’t have conclusive research. What island are they on?”“Oh, they’ll reach you soon enough and you can examine them then,” Aile said, waving her hand to express her disinterest. “You know, I’m sick of this repetitive cycle of wars. We need one big King Bohrok cage match to wrap it all up! I could sell tickets to something like that!”“I think the Shadow Consortium issue is more pressing,” Zempyst said, not surprised that Aile hadn’t taken something serious from Norscu’s revelation. “They’re under constant watch, I’m sure?”“They’re safe,” Avanda assured. “The Shadow Consortium won’t do anything too extreme anytime soon.”“So this is a heads-up,” Cerveau said. Her gaze seemed to lose a bit of intensity, as if she were taking mental notes, as she continued, “Watch for these children—I assume we’ll know them when we see them?—and take care of them. Suppress Shadow Consortium activity, keep them away from the children. King Bohrok…what’s our strategy for this cycle? Lockdown or encouragement?”“I’m not going to encourage a kid to fight a King Bohrok,” Zempyst stated adamantly. “They’re some of the most dangerous entities we know about, especially that freak King of Kohrak…”“I think the King of Tahnok is more intense,” Aile said. “Mainly cause he’s sane. But you know who I like? The King of Gahlok. He is SO nice! I could hardly believe he was a King! Is he the one this kid has?”“No, he isn’t,” Vitirus said. “It’s the King of Pahrak.”“Aw…I have to put up with that arrogance?” Aile whined. “I would’ve settled for the King of Lehvak…heck, the King of Nuhvok wouldn’t even be that bad…”“Okay, but…our strategy?” Cerveau asked eagerly.“…Neutral,” Norscu said, with a thoughtful quietness. “Don’t seek out more King Bohrok, but if one appears, let them fight the King of Pahrak.”Zempyst gave him an irritated look, and he added, “But don’t let them kill the children! I mean, come on—that goes without saying.”“An excellent chance to observe,” Cerveau said, with a voice that had a quality similar to laughter. Her excitement then faded, however, as she added, “…Providing more King Bohrok appear on Ce-Isle, of course. I wonder if they’d be up for some questions…”“The King of Gahlok will be,” Aile said. “I hope I get to see him before the cycle ends…”“…Anything else?” Zempyst asked, though her trademark impatience was surprisingly absent.“Well…I’ve been sensing something,” Norscu said. “I’m not sure, but I think some Legendary Spirits are hanging around. And since Les Quatre Fréres de Lame are gathering, I doubt they’re the friendly kind…”Complete the cycle.Coming Soon. Quote My Library Right of Law (Epics) KARDAS DRAGON appears! Lenore
I swear that I'll be dead from eagerness by the time you post the third spoiler. This is great! I haven't anticipated something this much since I don't know when.Aile's a really great character and you can do so much with her, I like her friendship with Zempyst and can tell that it will make for good reading. Pahrak Model ZX
Sorry, I don't want to be over-suspense-ful, but the Previews are meant to build some hype if possible...Glad you like Aile--she's fun to use. Hoping to give her plenty of scenes with Zempyst, since the Thunder-Lord dies soon after Book 3 ends. Quote My Library Right of Law (Epics) KARDAS DRAGON appears! Lenore
I blame Kingdom Hearts for the suspense that is a constant factor in your writings .Is there going to be a King of Lehvak or a King of Tahnok? Pahrak Model ZX
Yeah...and there's a new one on the way, so...I apologize in advance!Yes, I believe Aile mentions those Kings in this Preview, they're just not on the list just yet. The King of Lehvak will be on the new Index at 1331, but I've yet to receive the design for the King of Tahnok...I already have someone who agreed to design him, but he's been busy lately, so I just need to be patient! Keizah the Kaleidoscope
Addressing the reader directly is a bold move, but it can produce a nice effect. So I take it that the original element-lords are, more or less, immortal? The hints about the King Bohrok's personalities are also a nice touch. A question though: I noticed that two of them have pre-evolutions (Gahlok and Pahrak) while others do not (Nuhvak and Kohrak). Is this going to be explained in the plot?~Keizah, signing out!~ Edited December 9, 2011 by Keizah the Kaleidoscope Quote [æzɚæθ mɛtriɔn zɪnθos]
Pahrak Model ZX
The Original Element-Lords have eternal youth, and can only die by being deliberately killed. At the time of Book 3, however, they are all alive, so I hope to give them all at least a cameo. The pre-evolutions will be explained--the respective Kings came first and then transformed some other Bohrok into Exo-Bohrok, although when the related Spirits were created, the relation was skewed and they were turned into upgraded forms. Don't want to go too in-depth right now, though, since the Kings get explained pretty early in Book 3. Quote My Library Right of Law (Epics) KARDAS DRAGON appears! Lenore
Who's making the King of Tahnok? Quote Blog "A Cask of Amontillado": Breaking News
Pahrak Model ZX
Due to client anonymity and not wanting him to be bothered, I have to refuse to answer; sorry. I'm not going to rush him since the King of Tahnok won't be introduced until late in the Book...but I am a little OCD.Also...I may as well say it. I've started writing Book 3 Kako, and just finished the chapter where the whole King Bohrok thing gets explained. Hope you guys like it when it comes out! Of course, that'll still be a little while--need to finish the previews, then get Forgotten Bond started, and then I might wait a tad longer just for spacing so we can detach from Book 2...but probably January. Pahrak Model ZX
Hm...well, I want to debut Forgotten Bond in January, so it might make sense to push Kako back and not debut two stories in one month...We'll see.
