How do you store your Bionicle figures?

When I moved on to primarily CCBS-based MOCing in 2015, I sold the vast majority of my G1 parts, only keeping my masks, some select armour and weapon pieces and a few of my favourite G1 sets. Since then however, I've started collecting more of my favourite G1 sets to keep - a few which I previously owned before the 2015 purge, and a few I've never had before. I've even started collecting Slizers sets, hoping to eventually end up having the entire set.

Currently, the vast majority of my G1 collection is in pieces. Each set bagged up individually and archived in a big white box, so I can build them again at a later date for display. Four Roboriders, three Slizers and my Exo Toa however are stored - again, in pieces - in their original packaging. Currently, only Roodaka, Millenia Slizer and three other Slizers stand built on my shelf, as these are the most recent additions to my collection and I want to have them out on display for a bit before I go ahead and archive them.

I mostly do this archiving business as I don't have much spare space in my room - my one shelving unit is already dominated by MOCs and books, and every other surface in my room either has storage or electronics on it. I could put up more shelves on the wall to the side of my bed, but they'd likely cover the entire wall and make things look messy. Maybe I'll be able to have all of my sets out on display when I move out on my own?

So anyway, how do you store your Bionicle figures? Do you archive them like me? Are they all jumbled up in one parts bin? Or are you lucky enough to have them all out on display?

EDIT: Apologies if this has been asked lots and lots before. Hey, I guess this is better than necroing an old thread, right?

Sadly when I moved across the country last year I had to sell my old collection, save for the masks and other rare collectibles that I kept :,(

When I was younger, though, it was all just in a bin. It really made MOCing tough, having to spread everything out on the floor :P

Since then I only have a handful of gen 2 and Hero Factory sets, not enough parts to get back into MOCing. As such I've got a little spot on my shelves for them (my partner collects My Little Ponies and similar 80's stuff so we display them with those, we had a pretty silly display where Lewa was having a tea party with some other toys, the teacup handle fit right into the slot in his hand!)

Archiving by set seems like a pretty good idea though and if I ever start collecting again I might borrow that idea. I always had the problem of never being able to reassemble figures as a kid because everything ended up scattered around.

My Gen 1 sets are currently standing on shelves in my closets or standing on the floor of said closets. My Gen 2 sets are all currently standing around on the floor in my room, because I don't have anywhere else to put them and I don't want to take them apart. I really need to put more shelves up in my room. :P

Pretty much all my Bionicle/CCBS parts are in boxes under my bed, completely uncategorized. Whenever I MOC it makes it kinda...difficult.

My G2 sets are sitting on a shelf. Very top, because they deserve it I guess. Can't bring myself to take 'em apart yet, mostly because I don't have any of their 2016 incarnations yet.

I have two shelves for display (one for Bionicle, one for System), where I intermix MOCs and sets, and a bunch of Tupperware bins hidden all over the room.

I have large container stands that hold about 12 canisters each, perfect for the two waves of 6 releases. I used to have most of my titans built, but I deconstructed all but the 08 and onward ones (because the joints tend to break so its not worth taking apart to rebuild). It takes up a lot of space but that's not counting my MOCing tubs of spare parts. It's all very well organized though

I have two racks full of parts bins, along with a box of things I haven't gotten around to sorting yet and a bunch of parts I ALSO haven't gotten around to sorting yet.

It is not for us to decide the fate of angels.

Dominus Temporis, if you're out there, hit me up through one of my contacts.  I've been hoping to get back in touch for a long time now.  (Don't worry, I'm not gonna beg you to bring back MLWTB or something.  :P )

I mostly store them in a plastic tub or cardboard box, but I like putting the models that are built in individual plastic snap-lock bags first with their instructions so that it's unlikely they lose pieces.

Most of mine are on display, and the others are taken apart and/or in boxes. Hopefully I can put up shelves; otherwise, some of my sets will have to get the ax to make room for future acquisitions.

At the moment, parts of the Skull Villains are sorted by piece in a big tackle box. Big pieces, like the skull axe weapons and chest armours, are stored at the very bottom along with "chunks" of sets I didn't want to take apart (namely the remains of LoSS who's claw parts are sorted out.)

In a much smaller tackle box I have 4 of the protectors and one Hero Factory set I bought for parts. (I think his name was Speed Demon or something.) The top tray for that holds all of my masks, including the protectors' since I feel they're hibernating or something when they're maskless. Idk, it just felt cruel to shove them in boxes if they weren't.

Anything complete I have ATM that isn't on display in some part of my house is in a couple of old shoeboxes. I have a separate box for incomplete/cannibalized sets as well, and a small tray for assorted useful technic bits in addition to the obligatory random parts bin.

I always have Turaga Matau on my desk along with one or two other sets that I alternate from time to time.

The rest are all intact (just finished rebuilding them all this month) in two cardboard boxes that I keep under my bed.

My g1 sets are lined up by wave (like the tohunga, mata, bohrok, nuva, bohrok kal, rahkshi etc..) lined up behind each other on my bookshelf (I have a very big one) some however, are in my closet in their canisters. My parts are organized by those storage containers with drawers and my weapons and miscellaneous parts are in a big plastic bin. As for my g2 sets, they,re mainly put together in custom combiner models or have their parts store in their box till I get to making a moc with them, but I keep my fqavorite ones like umarak or certain creatures or favorite titans displayed on any room I have on my desk.

Honestly, all my parts pre-reboot (except for Lhikan, who is assembled) are buried in containers somewhere in my parents' house. My MOCing days are pretty much over, so I don't expect them to see daylight anytime soon. And I don't really have enough room in my apartment...

As such, select 2015 and 2016 sets are on display where I currently live. Most are standing behind my desk.

Since I have my own apartment now, I've been putting my G2 sets on display around the house. Ice sets are on top of the fridge, the Protector of Water is by my toothbrush, Skull Warrior is in the kitchen cabinet aiming at Kopaka on the fridge... :blushlaugh:

For me, they're all over the place. I have all of the 2015 toa and LOSS displayed on one shelf, and all of the Toa Mahri, plus Pohatu Phantoka, are lined up with my Gundam kits.

My current Bionicle display consists entirely of G2 sets, which means only about 10 percent of my collection is sitting on shelves. All of my G1 Bionicle sets are currently being stored in their original canisters or in plastic bags - with the notable exception of Maxilos, who has been modified into Makuta and is being displayed with my skull villains in lieu of an official G2 set of the Master of Control.  And my loose pieces from both eras of Constraction figures are sorted and stored in bins and fish tackle boxes for easy access, as I have done with spare Lego parts since the very early days of my hobby.

I have slept for so long. My dreams have been dark ones. But now I am awakened. Now the scattered elements of my being are rejoined. Now I am whole. And the Darkness can not stand before me.

All of my G2 Bionicles are in pieces in a giant tub. I don't MOC anymore unless I want to build an offensive figure, so they just sit in my closet next to my computer. All of my G2 sets sit displayed on a , plastic, shelf, which gets constantly bumped by visiting family members.
