Hapori Tohu
Earlier this week Allen over at The Brick Fan broke the news that LEGO Minifigures Online will likely be shutting down this October. The Funcom-developed game first launched in 2013 and went through several different business models, from a beta to free-to-play to buy-to-play. According to Funcom's annual report, they have not reached their desired number of subscribers or revenue over the past few years. Their license agreement with LEGO ends in October of this year and the language in the report makes it seem that they're unlikely to renew it. Will you miss LEGO Minifigures Online? Did you or anyone you know play it? View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A

Master Inika
I've never even heard of this. Quote "You are an absolute in these uncertain times. Toa Smoke Monster
I've never even heard of this.Same here. Though it does sound a little bit interesting IMO. keiththelegokid
I played it, then they decided that buying the minifigures wasn't enough and you had to pay to play. I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner. Toa of Gallifrey
Not nearly as enjoyable as Lego Universe. Still, feel sorry for those who liked it and invested in it.
Takanuinuva
Figured sooner or later this would happen. Lego and MMO's don't seem to work out. Though I wish Lego Universe lasted longer than this did. 1 Quote I am Takanui Nuva. The Toa Nuva of Light I also go by Baron Von Brickenstein AFOL, Gamer and overall nice person. Disciple
As long as the Collectible Minifigures line doesn't go anywhere, this is no great loss in my eyes.
ChargedKanohi
Surprised this didn't happen sooner. It was nowhere near the level and quality of Lego Universe(which was totally enjoyable and hard to depart from), and it needed you the pay for almost everything, at a much frequent rate(minifigures, diamond packs), while LU's membership lasted for month(s). Also, its lack of background story made the game bland and goal-less.

bionicleFanatic
And, once again, we see the fruit of the problem most indie game developers make. Although this time it's been made (multiple times) by a huge corporation. You need to advertise. Hugely. Especially with an MMORPG. It needs Bionicle 01-scale advertising. Otherwise, you get this: half the people in this topic didn't even know it existed. Also, the game was rather poor, even worse than Chima Online, if that's possible. :\ []
Hidron Nuva
I guess it was only a matter of time. It had already happened with LEGO Universe (which was way more fun and stimulating IMO).
