HF RPG 2.5: Discussion

Night Stalker is approved (3/3). However, as Nato mentioned, keep in mind what you've put in the profile, especially in terms of the strength of the acid!

Morphos is the one with the profile layout issues. There are three kinds of profile- Hero (Hero-model robot made by Hero Factory, serving the forces of good at Hero Factory), Villain (lawbreaker, to put it simply), and Civilian (everyone else). "Himself" is not a character profile type- Morphos, from the sounds of it, would be a Villain-type. Also, he has a lot of weapons and powers- from a quick glance I can see quick healing, summoning weapons out of himself, limited shapeshifting, and a whole arsenal of weapons. Some of these powers are limited, but I'm still unsure about the sheer amount of powers and weapons.

Ruby approved (3/3).

I love Beemer. I don't have the time to check him over right now, but I'll get to him tomorrow. I want him approved. He's beeautiful. But, just to be clear: he doesn't have to be a villain if you don't want him to be! The comedic villain was just an example of a thing you could do. You don't have to do it if you don't want- there are other ways to go about it while keeping him a Hero, if that's what you'd like more! But, also, villain works too.

Take cover, as I fire off another volley of ye olde profiles.

Name: Sir Reginald Buckley.

Character Type: Hero.

Abilities/Equipment: In addition to greatly enhanced strength and moderately increased durability, he has a built-in motion sensor, allowing him to detect and identify all movement patterns within a hundred-metre radius around him. The range and accuracy of this ability is obviously reduced somewhat when he’s in motion – walking, flying, running and so on.

He carries a number of tools on a belt around his chest – wrench, spanner, crowbar, miniaturised blowtorch, harpoon and rope – and wears a monocle with magnification zoom. His weapon of choice is Old Chum, a semiautomatic shotgun that fires off debilitating electrified slugs.

Appearance: Possessing an unmodified Gen1 build, Buckley’s body is primarily brown, with coppery armour and a yellow-hued Hero Core.

MOC: http://i.imgur.com/YWRYRLF.png

Bio: With a near-spotless mission record, Reginald takes great pride in his achievements. Incredibly old-fashioned and sentimental, he has naught but disdain for the newer generation of heroes, preferring the good old days from before the Upgrade. And, as one would expect of a mawkish, 70-something year old man, he’s immensely fond of telling “back in my day” stories.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Name: the Old Timer.

Ship Size: Small – single hero fighter.

Pilots/PCs: Sir Reginald Buckley.

NPCs: None.

Communications: Access to regular HF and civilian channels.

Navigation & Drive: As one would expect of a HF vessel, it has full access to Hero Factory’s starmaps, with the interior of the cockpit serving as a touchscreen HUD for displaying information on the ship’s systems.

Weapons & Armour: Lightly armoured, the vessel mostly relies on its small size and agility for defence in combat. Each wing is equipped with a weak laser weapon, and the wings themselves are sharpened and reinforced for slicing at enemy vessels.

Propulsion: Each of the four wings has an engine mounted on the back, and as each wing can rotate and move independently of the others, this allows the fighter an extensive range of motion and manoeuvrability. However, as it lacks FTL capabilities, this fighter must rely on being docked with larger vessels in order to traverse the expanses of space.

Landing: Standard gear for landing on most forms of terrain.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Name: Evangeline Weaver.

Character Type: Hero.

Abilities/Equipment: This hero has total control over water in all of its forms. She can rapidly manipulate the temperature of it as well, bringing it to boil in seconds, evaporating it into steam, or swiftly freezing it. However, she cannot create it out of nothing, only draw it from existing sources in the surrounding environment, and the range of her control is limited to only fifty metres or so.

Due to this ability, she has been built to be resistant to temperature-related stresses, meaning her body isn’t liable to shatter or fall apart if exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold in quick succession, for example.

Her weapon of choice is a bladed mace, hewn of a light but durable blue-tinged metal. As well as this, she carries a number of capsules full of water on a bandolier, for situations where other water sources are unavailable.

Appearance: With a blue body and white armour plating, this hero is of about average height, but more slim and lithe than most other heroes. Her armour is adorned with icicle-like spikes, and her helmet comms have been styled to look like golden earrings.

MOC: http://i.imgur.com/FRP6jjN.png

Bio: Despite her chilly exterior, Evangeline does her best to be open and friendly, exercising constant restraint to keep her formidable powers in check. However, she easily gets carried away, and doesn’t hold back in combat, traits that have resulted in the (usually unintentional) injury of friends and foes alike, and several cases of severe property damage. Because of this, she’s been kicked out of a number of hero teams, been put on probation more times than she can count, and is rarely sent out on missions anymore, unless under supervision.

Despite this, she dutifully defended her home during the Destroyer invasion, and was one of many heroes feared dead in the aftermath of the attack, buried alive in the rubble. She survived, and was an integral part of resolving the infamous Mechna Incident, rumoured to have saved the life of Preston Stormer from a fate cited to be ‘infinitely worse than death’.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Name: Nexus Zander.

Character Type: Villain.

Abilities/Equipment: Nexus is possessed of immensely enhanced strength, and specialises in brutal hand-to-hand, close-quarters combat. His boots possess a layer of short spikes on the soles, providing additional grip, as well as means of inflicting extra damage when kicking.

His hands, crushed and destroyed years ago, have been restored using reinforced mechanical replacements, complete with spiked knuckles, allowing him to utilise his full strength without hurting himself, and fend off strikes from some melee weapons.

Nexus’ constant companion is his pet Gleam, a gold-scaled psych-wyvern. This intelligent, quizzical creature has bonded to him, establishing a telepathic connection that allows the duo to share thoughts and experiences over long distances, and with time and focus, access each other’s senses.

Appearance: This mercenary is far from what one would call handsome, and he knows it. His mouth is packed with jutting fangs, short tusks sprout from his cheeks, and his lean body is adorned with more lumps, bruises and scars than he can be bothered to count. Seemingly permanently affixed to the top of his ugly head is an undersized cowboy hat, taken as a trophy from his old owner.

His thick, plate armour is coloured black and purple to mirror his own skin tone, and although his strength allows him to move around in combat unhindered, he, unlike the machines he often fights, will eventually tire.

MOC: http://i.imgur.com/AkcSK2i.png

Bio: Nexus’ species are prized for their immense strength, and often sold as slaves, for use as bodyguards, enforcers, and fighters. Such was the tale of Nexus’ own childhood, being forced to fight other slaves – organic and mechanical – to the death in underground fighting rings. But while his body had strength, it did not have the endurance to match, and over the years his hands were bent and battered and broken time and time again, until he was no longer fit to fight.

His owner tried to dispose of him, but Nexus refused to be so callously cast aside. He slew the slaver, claiming their pet, riches, and hat for himself. The money allowed him to purchase armour to protect himself, and new hands with which to fight. He did a brief stint in more legal, professional fighting contests, but his techniques proved too vicious for friendly bouts, and he was eventually disbarred from competing.

Eventually, he took to mercenary work, frequenting the bars of backwater space stations and other shady locales to ply his trade. Despite largely being employed as mere muscle, he’s no dumb thug, utilising brains just as much as brawn in battle, and enjoying a spot of gambling or friendly drinks with his fellow mercs when off the job.

More profiles!

Name: Wilhelm Gorn

Type: Hero

Powers and abilities: Gorn is a master in the art of combat. He has been trained to counter many different kinds of fighting styles, and wield almost any kind of weapon. He has very fast reflexes and high physical strength. He is well armored, though this hinders his running speed somewhat. All of these combined make him a force to be reckoned with in any fight, especially in hand-to-hand combat. Besides that, he is good for little else, a fact that he secretly laments.

Weapons: Gorn carries a Plasma Longsword, which is able to superheat in order to allow it to cut through all but the strongest of substances with some effort. After the Mechna incident, it was modified to increase the limit on how far the blade can extend, to the point where the blade can become slightly longer than Gorn is tall. Gorn does not make use of this feature often, as it is impractical in most situations. Gorn's original shield was destroyed on Mechna and replaced with a Hex energy shield, the same weapon used by Breeze and Rocka in their breakout forms. The shield is identical to Breez's, being able to block both physical and energy based attacks, in addition to being able to expand at the cost of it's strength.

Appearance: Gorn's armor is modeled after that of a medieval knight, or whatever the Hero factory equivalent would be. The armor is gunmetal grey, with red highlights. His eyes and core are red as well. His helmet is based on a flat-topped medieval great helm. At the moment, it has had horns attached to the top for protection against the parasitic brains. He's not as bulky as one would think, only slightly bigger than a standard hero.

Bio: Wilhelm Gorn is what would occur if one gave the "Blood Knight" trope a physical form, while taking the latter half of it literally. He's older than he may initially seem, as he was built only a decade or two after the factory first opened. He was part of a precursor to Omega team, a group of powerful heroes who were almost solely combat-focused. Due to an accident that occurred as the result of somthing out of their control, Gorn is the only member of his team known to still be alive, causing him to be plagued by survivor's guilt. Many attempts were made to transfer him to a new team, but he never ended up staying with one for long, due to his inability to solve problems with anything other than violence. The factory eventually gave up, and simply began only sending him only on solo or large scale missions where he wouldn't have to work closely with a team. He has an unhealthy obsession with combat and a large ego, leading him to prioritize fighting villains over the less exiting aspects of his missions, like saving civilians or retrieving stolen goods. Despite this, he's quite good at what he's been programmed to do, and will allow his duty to protect innocents to overpower his lust for combat if the situation is dire enough. He is generally respected by his fellow heroes for his experience if nothing else, though those who disapprove of excessive violence tend to dislike him. He has made attempts to broaden his skill set following the Mechna incident, which has led to him being deployed more frequently.

During the Mechna incident, Gorn was responsible for the defeat and capture of several prominent villains. One of these villains was Scourge, who was preparing to kill the hero Jason Ferro when Gorn confronted them. Shortly before the conflict's conclusion, Gorn encountered, and eventually killed, an alternate version of himself. The encounter shook him up greatly, and caused him to rethink his possible role in the incident that left him as the sole surviving member of his team.

Name: Scourge

Type: Villain

Powers and abilities: Scourge is able to regenerate damaged body parts, allowing it to survive many injuries without medical attention. The process is not instantaneous, and it cannot regenerate it's metal bones, or from wounds that kill it instantly. It's mouth is filled with shark-like teeth, and secretes saliva that increases in corrosiveness the longer it's exposed to oxygen. At peak acidity, it allows it to consume metallic objects as easily as a predatory animal would consume meat. On it's back are extendable metallic insectoid legs, with which it can use to attack or climb walls. It possesses high intelligence, and is knowledgeable on the anatomy of many different species. It has poor physical strength however, and will not face opponents in groups, preferring to retreat instead. It is worth making note, however, that the lack of strength does not apply to the insect legs, which are easily powerful enough to impale someone.

Weapons: Scourge carries a needle gun with needles filled with a very powerful sedative for robots, as well as a cloaking device, allowing it to capture victims quietly and without drawing attention. It also has a ship, which contains a table with restraints, used for "shutting down" their prisoners before consumption. The ship is weaponless, as it is a repurposed cargo Vessel.

Appearance: Scourge is noticably taller than a regular hero, but extremely thin, causing it to look almost skeletal. It's skin is a deep purple color, as well as transparent, making it's metal bones visible. Breaking up the purple are several sections of metal "armor" covering it's chest, lower torso, forearms, hands, shins, feet, and most of it's head. It's head has almost no flesh visible, as even it's seven eyes are covered by a dull yellow visor. Below the visor is a wide, lipless mouth, filled with razor sharp metal teeth, often dripping with bright green saliva, and surrounded by four mandible-like objects, which it can use to grip victims as it consumes them. On top of the head are a pair of flat horns, facing skyward like a macabre crown.

Bio: Scourge was created by a wealthy criminal organization as a means of interrogating and disposing of prisoners. After serving this purpose for many years, the organization's base was attacked by Arsenal, and most of the high ranking members were killed. With the organization disbanded, Scourge was unleashed upon the Galaxy, where it's actions soon earned it it's name. For, as hero factory now knows, Scourge can only produce the energy needed to sustain it's life by consuming inorganic material. Additionally, it's semi mechanical brain has been programmed to seek out these materials only from living things. These two traits combined have caused Scourge to go about the galaxy kidnapping, killing, and eating innocents, all for the sake of self preservation. Even worse, it enjoys committing these vile acts, particularly against Heroes, as their cores give it enough energy to survive for months. Hero Factory has received more warrants for it's arrest than almost any other known criminal, barring X-plode. They have yet to capture it, citing it's adeptness at hiding as the main reason why. The galaxy will certainly sleep better when they do...

During the incident on Mechna, Scourge was severely wounded by Wilhelm Gorn, and hasn't been seen since.

First up, I know from past experience that Gorn is a hero and Scourge is a villain, but could you please add the 'Affiliation' field to their profiles so that other players are clear on it.

While I don't have any issues with the rest of his profile, I'm a little iffy about Gorn's weapon - the sword itself is fine, since there are other similar weapons already approved, but I'm not really comfortable in giving a blade that can carve through most materials like a hot knife through butter the ability to infinitely extend in length. I'm fine with it being able to change in size, somewhat, but I'd prefer for there to be some clearly-defined limits for that.

I've always thought Scourge was kind of weird/creepy, and although he does have a fair few abilities, he's got enough weaknesses and limitations to balance it out, so Scourge Approved x1.

I've labeled both of their affiliations, and added a limit to how long Gorn's blade can extend.

Woo boy time to do some approvals

First, I promised to check out Beemer today, so I'll get to him first. If you want to take him on the villain route, I will say the only, only, thing stopping an approval from me is his backstory. Hero Factory likely wouldn't hire a villain to "do their dirty work". Also, the profile seems to suggest he still works as a Hero, but I think this could just be because of a quick edit. Everything else looks fine and great. If he's going to be a vigilante villain, he'll have to be doing so while not under the employ of Hero Factory- he can attempt to help Hero Factory, but under his own power. He can definitely, say, believe he's still under their employ or something! But yeah they wouldn't have him on their payroll or anything.

Sorry you've had to go through so many edits! I honestly really like Beemer. Once his bio is fixed up, everything else will be fine to go.

I'm sad I missed Gorn's infinite blade. But yeah an infinitely extending blade that cuts through anything might not be a good idea- or a really good idea, since that might mean he could stop crime from the next planet over. Incredible. Approved (2/3), but I'd keep an eye on keeping the shield fair- it seems reasonable at the moment, but be sure to keep to the limits you've set!

Scourge, I've always been uncertain about its weapon, but I figure it has enough weaknesses to it- for example, it couldn't pierce thick armour in HF RPG 2.0. Approved (2/3), but if it's all right, could you explain to me what the limitations of the weapon itself are? In the profile or in a post, I don't mind. But, Scourge's ship is Not Approved- you need a proper ship profile for it is all! Also, I'm not too sure on the death chamber in the ship. I dunno, I'll get to that when we see the ship profile.

Buckley is approved (1/3), as is his ship (1/3).

Weaver is approved (1/3).

Zander is approved (1/3). His cowboy hat is double approved.

I'm slowly getting through my own profiles. Here's my most diabolical villain yet.

~

Name: a duck

Type: The Worst of Villains

Powers and Abilities:

Has all the powers and abilities of an ordinary duck. However, her particular species of duck is especially hardy and mean, not to mention territorial. She will chase anyone and anything if they encroach on her territory. However, she is placated by offerings of food, and as such she has accepted Hero Factory's surrender and graciously allowed them to build their strange nest on her territory, in exchange for plentiful food for herself and her protege.

- Her diet is very hardy, and she can thrive on gosh darn near anything she can fit down her gullet.

Appearance: A very disgruntled organic duck.

Bio: This duck lived peacefully in a pond in Antropolis, but the events of the Antropolis mission left her pond severely damaged and unusable. She migrated to Makuhero City, and claimed the ruins of Hero Factory as her new territory. After many deliberations between herself and representatives of Hero Factory, in the form of members of the staff and Heroes attempting to chase her off or relocate her, and then finally just tossing her anything edible to distract her long enough to get on with their business, she very graciously gifted them with the useless inland area in the centre of her territory, leaving her with the pond surrounding it. She oversees the construction of their strange, tall nest, and begrudgingly allows their presence so long as they hold up their end of the bargain.

Any mention in the Hero Factory of her being regarded by many as some kind of unofficial good luck charm, mascot, and/or pet for the entirety of Hero Factory is unfounded and untrue. She is clearly the well-respected monarch of her territory, and she is respected and feared amongst the tall ones with the strange quacks.

During a mandatory patrol of her territory, she happened across an egg. It was strange and, from what she could see, edible, but she saw more worth in the egg than a simple meal. She brought it to her own nest, where it hatched an odd beast. In her infinite wisdom, she stilled her pecking beak, and allowed the hatchling to remain as her protege and heir to her lands. She can often be seen teaching the hatchling her ways and harassing Hero Factory employees until they offer their payment of food.

~

Note: The duck is considered a villain for clearly she is extorting the Hero Factory and ruling them all through fear, not assisting them. Her tyrannical rule is malicious and held with an iron wing.

I'm building my character profiles asap.

Name: Jax Beemer

Character Type: Hero

Abilities/Equipment: Two small wings and a stinger, much like a bee’s, delivering a fierce acid to those it makes contact with, corroding metal and organic substances. These all fold into a backpack-esque shape when undercover. A light fighter, used to quick punching. The wings are able to move Jax quickly around a skirmish or battle, but not long distances.

Appearance: CURRENT MOC: [http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6404947] (please note that this was built when I was 10 years old) Ignore the Thornax launcher. Will be rebuilt soon.

Bio: Jax “The Bumblebee” Beemer is a loose-wire veteran fighter who is on extended order to roam the star systems near the Makuhero Rim. He takes care of local problems so that the rest of the Factory can focus on threats outside the local periphery. His attitude is more gung-ho than some other heroes towards hero work, and while rarely assigned orders, normally left as almost a guard dog with wings, he is still a very powerful hero, and when sent out to the outer reaches of the galaxy with the rest of the Heroes, he does his duty heroically.

Name: Sarah Sylver

Character Type: Civilian

Abilities/Equipment: A drone camera retro-fitted by Jax with defense mechanisms such as two short-range electric bolts; a microphone; a tablet.

Appearance: Typical newscaster person; basically the character from the original shorts.

Bio: An on-scene reporter who travels with “The Bumblebee” to document his escapades and help with surveillance/intel. Very intelligent, yet snarky. Her sarcasm is legend.

Name: Athena

Ship Size: Small

Pilots/PCs: Piloted by Jax, with Sarah able to move about the ship. A small cell has been put in for detaining petty criminals.

NPCs: Sarah’s drone acts as a sort of astromech droid within the ship, constantly checking ship functions and specs.

Communications: Is able to connect with HQ from anywhere unless communications are somehow jammed or blocked.

Navigation & Drive: A VR navigations system in the cockpit piloted by Beemer. The traditional dashboard was completely removed in favor of the VR system to save space… and because Beemer thought it looked neat.

Weapons & Armor: Two karz-lance guns on the tips of the wings and two miniguns in front of the cockpit. A light energy shield but fairly weak metal plating once the shield is down.

Propulsion: What it lacks in armor, it makes up for in speed. One of the faster ships in the Factory, the ship can accelerate to incredible speeds and perform many maneuvers.

Landing: It can land on anything safely, with one landing strut in the front and two in the back.

Beemer: While I love this bizarre bee man so much (I'm hoping the stinger is exactly where it should be on a bee) I'm gonna have to say pending approval too. If this guy went out and broke the law for six months, it's more likely he would be(e) arrested rather than regarded with a shrug and a "keep out of trouble, sport". Maybe make it an overzealous wild goose chase or something?

The ship and reporter are approved and I hope we get Beemer approved ASAP so I can finally have a character here I can make Bee Movie references about.

EDIT: Also what Nato said about poison.

Sylver approved 1/3! She makes me think of Lois Lane. :P

I don't see any major problems with Athena, so approved 1/3.

Okay, first of all everyone, we have a discussion topic for all-OOC posts now. There's no need to clog up the gameplay topic with this sort of thing, anymore. On to the issue at hand, it seems that Zippy and I may have been slightly mistaken about the time of day these events were taking place. However...

OOC: I don't really see why there would be any bystanders at all, though.

...I still disagree, somewhat.

Ignoring the tricky issue of whether robots even actually sleep (after all, heroes can recharge without having to go into standby or sleep mode, so maybe civilians don't all sleep either), Skylor's first post mentions her buying a cheap drink from a 'vendor' immediately before running into Insurgent. I'm a little unclear if this is meant to refer to a street vendor, or just that she went into a bar of some kind, but someone is still selling drinks at this time of night, which means they probably have other customers.

I grab a drink from a vendor for a pretty cheap rate (one that probably reflects the drink's quality), and head down the street, glancing around me for any particularly shifty behavior.

And then, Insurgent decides to start waving his lightsaber around basically shouting 'who goes there'. Night or day, anyone in a nearby street or building probably would've seen or heard that, especially if it's as late and quiet as you guys are saying.

Activating Verdad, a long, light blue, energy blade extended from his wrist projector. The energy blade made a low humming noise as it was activated. "Is anyone there?" Insurgent asked.

There's enough justification for a few concerned citizens to have shown up, I think, for Zippy's post to still largely make sense. So I think it might be easier to just go with it, rather than trying to retcon/edit a dozen different posts.

I mean, it's Zippy's post that would require all of us to do some retconning, versus a single post.

I'm also pretty sure that Sil's hero is flying? That's a method of transportation that allows for far greater distances to be covered. Even if it's a street vendor in question, if Skylor is travelling at the speed of a jet (which has been made reference to), then distance is no issue at all.

Oh that's what you meant.  Yes, he's a villain.  I'll fix that.  The summoning weapons out of himself makes it sound over powered.  All it really is is concealing his weapons from visual detection.  Any scan would find it instantly.  As for weapons and powers, yes, there are a lot.  What should I get rid of?

Wow this was A Thing To Wake Up To lemme tell ya

Well, sure. No GM had established the time of day beforehand- it was assumed to be day. Someone probably should have noted that on our end, would have saved a lot of confusion. Sky visited a drink vendor, and context suggests it wasn't a bar (sounded more like an outdoors stall but I could be wrong), and usually stalls aren't open late. Furthermore, even if we go with it being night- that sounds like the easiest way to go about this, and people are beginning to note it in the RPG so I'm all for that- they were near a bar. Typically, there are people milling around outside a bar. Someone would've seen them either way you spin it.

I was originally going to have the barkeep notice them, but decided against it because I didn't know exactly where they are. Also, in case people think I just decided to do this off a whim, I'd asked other GMs beforehand about it and we agreed that standing around in the middle of Makuhero City waving weapons around would probably attract attention and would have some kind of consequence. As it is, people are on edge, not actively calling- for all they know, your characters could be cosplayers or whatever. So long as they don't do anything more suspicious, they'll be fine.

@Vestak: I was also going to mention you separating weapons and abilities into two separate parts, but a lot of people do that and it doesn't bother me at all so I'm very happy for you to leave it as is. As for getting rid of things... I'm not entirely sure. Some of the weapons, definitely; he's got a lot of powers, and they're pretty cool, so the weapons feel like they'd be easiest to do without without changing the character too much. Maybe the ability to make spikes out of himself (that's what I meant by summoning weapons)? I read that as he can fire metal spikes as projectiles the first time around, which sounds like something that would cause him to run out of metal pretty quickly, but on reflection that could have just meant he can just extend spikes from himself, which is better. I'd also specify that the shapeshifting wouldn't change his armour colours- unless it does, of course. Sorry about the vagueness, a lot of his powers make sense for his metal skin thingy, so I don't wanna mess with it too much, and honestly it's your character so you might be attached to some things more than others so I don't want to accidentally make you remove the stuff you like the most. I'd recommend just tossing some of the weapons- I remember there being one big rocket, which I'd personally get rid of purely because carrying an explosive in your chest cavity sounds like a bad idea at the best of times.

As an unrelated to approvals aside: how fast can he shift his metal around?

I mean, I established the time as night literally in the first IC post of the game; everyone else has been going along with it. Again, I'll point out that Sky can clearly cover great distances very quickly; Insurgent and Core could therefore not be very close to this vendor at all.

Neither of them has raised their voices (aside from Sky and Insurgent briefly yelling at each other), but that wouldn't be enough to draw the attention of a bunch of civilians; if I heard people yelling outside my window I'd ignore it, because I have better things to do with my life than investigate every little noise.

Wasn't Insurgent heading for a bar? I'm pretty sure Rylinth mentioned Shard being near Insurgent in a bar. Who let the rookie in the bar?

Either way, I'm sorry for the mixup in terms of the time of day- as I said, I got confused because Sky was at a vendor that'd probably not be open late at night, and I think you confused me saying that with Nato's point of there being customers around? Either way, we can guess she went somewhere that was open late, so that still fits. I must have missed the time of day establishing and most posts after that could be read as either day or night, so yeah. Sorry about that!

As Nato said, it's definitely plausible for people to be around, though. And, as established in Rylinth's post, there's a bar nearby, and there'd most likely be people milling around outside the bar. If you'd like, I can edit the post to better clarify that? You can keep Core/Focus doing the smart thing by having him standing in an alley or something, and them seeing and reacting to Insurgent- who was the one who was doing most of the weapon-waving anyway. Would that work better for you?

IC: Beemer and Sylver

Sylver, Beemer's traveling buddy, came up to the hero. "Beemer, we'd better check in at the Factory and make sure the Athena doesn't get impounded." Beemer turned to her, after the long silence between himself and the two other figures, one looking like a hero, nodded, and walked off.

As they got about 100 meters from the pair, Beemer turned to Sarah. "Sarah, leave your camera here. I want to see what happens here. Just a hunch." Sylver, knowing by now not to question Beemer's strange requests, left her camera drone behind a street corner, making sure that it would be hard to see by the naked eye alone, pointed it towards Insurgent and Core, and set it to record. Leaving the drone, the two kept walking to the Hero Factory.

OOC: Beemer and Sylver to the Tower and open for interaction either on the way or in the tower. Also, there is little to no chance that either Insurgent or Core could have seen the drone, so don't meta-hit it plz kthx.
