Hapori Tohu Posted June 17, 2016 Share Posted June 17, 2016 LEGO designer Mark Stafford has announced on Flickr that his friend, former LEGO designer Daniel Krentz, passed away last weekend. When Daniel began working in Billund as a LEGO designer in the mid-1970s he was both the first AFOL and the first foreigner to be recruited to that role, which he held until the year 2000. Daniel designed dozens of sets during his tenure at the LEGO Group, including many of the earliest LEGO Castle and LEGO Pirates sets.
