Lenny7092
Hi, guys! When you watched a movie in 2014 called The Lego Movie, do you remember seeing a Bionicle picture of the Toa Mata from G1 for a split second? I like that Bionicle is featured in the movie. When I read Bionicle's Wikipedia page about it, it says that this scene "angered Bionicle fans". See the link for yourself (Go to the In Popular Culture section): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bionicle So, I have this question based on your opinion: How do you feel about the cameo? Did it anger you? I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!
Bonkle
Firstly, I wouldn't trust Wikipedia on anything. Secondly, it didn't really anger me, because Bionicle got four in-universe movies of its own. A slightly larger cameo out of its own universe wouldn't have been much. I been away a long time.
Electric Light Gunhaver
I didn't anger me at all. I was surprised that it made it in the movie, but then again, I wasn't expecting anything from Bionicle to make it in anyway. I was legitimately glad that the creators gave a nod to Bionicle in any capacity. Why should I have been angry at the inclusion of something like that? Is it because Lego canceled the line, even after a sharp decline in sales that ultimately led to profit loss? That's would be childish. The "cameo" showed respect for it more than it did make fun of the line's cancellation.
Tarn
Let me just give more detailed thoughts here in reality #1:No, it didn't anger me. There was no reason to. Just the fact that there was even an image pertaining to Bionicle is surprising and neat. And while I woudn't say "Don't trust Wikipedia on anything," the site can be edited by anyone unless an admin does something that makes it otherwise. Doesn't hurt to be skeptical, especially if there's an iffy sentence referencing something that didn't happen.EDIT: I actually looked at the section that mentioned this now. Honestly just sounds like a single, miffed fan who was probably part of one of those BRING BACK BONKLES groups in 2011 wrote it. Takama Metru
The decision to temporarily add Bionicle didn't anger me at all. In fact, I was glad. Despite being the juggernaught it was, I didn't see Bionicle get any mention towards the public after the golden years. It was good to see them acknowledge the theme, regardless if it was for a millisecond. Who knows? Bionicle might play a bigger role in the second movie.
