Rahkshi Lalonde
Grey ball-joints. WHY? Lego seems pretty determined to cast each of the small-joint variants in only one color, possibly due to the way Mixel waves are released. make em in one color and mixel fans might want them in EVERY color. so... >o>
dotcom
I mean, it was completely expected but the gray joint pieces really do break up the color schemes in a rather unpleasant way. Most notably on PB, the gray in the dress is just...egh, it ugly. Honestly, I would have preferred if they'd gone with clips rather than balljoints, if it could have resulted in better looking sets. They basically only have 2 points of articulation, so it's not like you're ruining them by restricting it a little more. And Jake just looks...really off to me for some reason. They don't look bad, anyway, all in all (Lady Rainicorn is particular looks really good) but I don't know if I'll be making this a day one purchase like I intended to. Guess I will see. Toa Smoke Monster
With as popular as Adventure Time is, I'm surprised it took this long for a Lego set to be made about the theme. Regardless, the characters look good enough, I guess. I can see what people are saying about the gray joints though. They do sort of ruin the color scheme on some of the characters. But I still think the set itself will sell really well once its released. Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.
