Robin and the Joker Re-Imagined in The LEGO Batman Movie

Recommended Posts

USA Today has published a story with stills and details of Batman's sidekick Robin (Michael Cera) and nemesis the Joker (Zach Galifianakis) as they appear in next year's The LEGO Batman Movie. Their stories are a bit different than you might know from comics and movies, with Robin as an lovable, cheerful young boy who the solitary Bruce Wayne inadvertently adopts at a charity auction, and the Joker as an insecure villain desperate to prove he's got what it takes to be Batman's arch-enemy. Both characters will appear in a trailer set to be unveiled later this week at San Diego Comic-Con. Follow the link for more details!

The glitter on Carrie Kelley's cape is a nice touch!  ^_^

Hope we see the extended Bat-family, together in action. Even if it doesn't make sense to have them all in one place.

EDIT: Wait, I actually read the article now.

So that's not Carrie Kelley?

After seeing the new Robin and Joker, I'm starting to see why Batman didn't really bring them up in The LEGO Movie. However, gotta give props to the Joker; his hair's hilarious!

I can already tell Robin is going to be incredibly annoying. Especially with those glasses.

I'm even willing to bet that he will be annoying, but will also have a loud, loyal fanbase that will make the rest of us even more sick of him.

I like the stills they show in the article for the movie. They look really cool IMO.

I don't know how I exactly feel about the Joker's 'story' in this movie. I always did see him as Batman's equal when it came to brains, and I don't see him really caring about trying to one up Batman. But I'm withholding my full judgement until I see a trailer, because it could actually be an interesting story. We'll see when it comes out.

Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.
