Don't think it's the end of buildable figures. It's the sign that Bionicle is being reborn. There seems to be a desire from fans for something more "Organic" and less robotic. Something that manages to incorporate minifigures with the builds ala an Exo-Force 2.0 or figures fighting giant monsters. Onvermel Posted July 31, 2016 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Personally I believe we won't be getting any new original theme from Lego to fill the void of constraction. Instead I think Lego will be putting more effort on their star wars ones and possibly new superhero ones as star wars has proven that licensed constraction can work if done right. Pohaturon Posted July 31, 2016 Share Posted July 31, 2016 Personally I'm hoping for a new original sci-fi theme, or maybe Nexo Knights CCBS. Personally I really hope they don't try and mix CCBS with system. Exo-force was cool, but if you think about it, it was pretty light on the constraction element and was overwhelmingly brick-based. Plus, CCBSxSystem was done before, in Hero Factory's last year, and that was absolutely atrocious in my opinion. Either way, CCBS in space with sci-fi space armor and aliens and awesome weapons and stuff would be cool. The only problem is Star Wars constraction already kinda fills that, which makes the chances of an original sci-fi constraction line slim indeed Quote Stone rocks Model Designer at The LEGO Group. But honestly, I have no idea if Lego will actually do that or just fill the void with another one of its theme. Time will tell to see what happens from here.
