Rimn Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 The mask seen in the video is an 3d print and that leads to questions about the sets shown in the video are they official or something they just made for the contest. Some say that mask of power is an official prototype of Lego that represents the mask we would have gotten. Yet all prototype I have seen have been made out of Legos own materials. Bfahome Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 It's not unreasonable to have models of the mask even if it wasn't going to be released in a set, especially since that mask had to appear in Journey to One. The "sets" shown in the video are just models built for the contest and for Makuta's depiction in Journey to One. Whether or not one of them would have been a Makuta set is a moot point, though it's unlikely. Historically, early prototypes use bits cut from existing pieces to roughly model what the set will look like. Later prototypes, though, usually have pieces that are essentially the final design but very rough; a lot of Toy Fair models have used these.
