Year 2015, Spherus Magna.---USERNAME: ZEUS[CONNECTED]MARKSMAN: Zeus, do you copy.ZEUS: I copy loud and clear MARKSMAN.MARKSMAN: Zeus, have you got the package?ZEUS: AffirmativeMARKSMAN: I’m sending an extraction chopper to your location. What are your coordinates?ZEUS: Sierra Echo Three Six NineMARKSMAN: What the bloody heck are you doing in Bota Magna?---Vyrin closed the laptop before he could answer and ducked behind some bushes, a patrol of Skrall were looking for him after he stole a Skrall Module from one of their strongholds. Stronius walked nearby slowly, smashing the trees with his Club looking for the Glatorian who infiltrated the fortress.“I know you’re here Glatorian, you stole something that belongs to me!” Stronius yelled. Stronius waved his club side to side until he almost hit the Glatorian, but before he could hit him a helicopter appeared on the air and flew deeper into the jungle of Bota Magna.“Follow that thing!” Stronius yelled as he started chasing the chopper. Soon, the entire patrol left. Vyrin realized that it was the extraction chopper, and the Skrall were going to destroy it!Speeding through the trees he reached the extraction point, where the Skrall were trying to tear the machine apart. The pilot struggled with Stronius who tried to take control of the ship, but the Glatorian stepped in and knocked out a Skrall standing nearby, now with Skrall weapons he started to fend of the intruders, eventually knocking Stronius out of the ship.With the Skrall defeated, the Pilot started the engines and they went off the sector of Bota Magna successfully. --- USERNAME: ZEUS[CONNECTED]ZEUS: MARKSMAN, this is ZEUS, mission accomplished.MARKSMAN: Copy Zeus, I’ll report this to HQ. Good job.---Vyrin felt as the engines of the chopper stopped, the hatch opened to reveal a metallic terrain inside a canyon. Stepping outside, he was greeted by a Toa of Stone who was only known by his codename: Marksman.“Vyrin, we’re glad to have you back” Marksman said as he helped Vyrin get off the chopper. “Here’s the module, I had to scrap a few Skrall back in Bota Magna to secure this” Vyrin said while handling Marksman the shiny round object.“We appreciate your assistance. Come with me, they’re waiting for you” Marksman and Vyrin walked to a giant room where nine Toa and Glatorian were standing around a table featuring a hologram of an underwater base in Aqua Magna.A Toa of Air with a British Accent greeted Vyrin, shaking his hand with excitement.“Good work chap, you did a fine job back there in Bota Magna!” he said with joy.“Thanks, I heard you returned from a mission too right?” Vyrin asked. “Right you are. I went undercover with a friend, a Toa of Magnetism, to a hidden island in the middle of nowhere. Well, not so hidden, Dark Hunters managed to capture the place and have the villagers as slaves” the Toa replied.“You couldn’t rescue them?” Vyrin asked him. “My friend did a suicidal move, I had to extract him. He brought a bloody building over him to escape two Dark Hunters” A Toa dressed in green armor entered the room, followed by two guards wearing handheld guns.“There’s the general lad, let’s give him the good news” Vyrin and Marksman took positions around the table, as the general did a salute and sat on a chair. “First things first. Marksman, was your mission successful?” the General asked, Marksman nodded and left the module on the table.“Vyrin managed to steal the module from the Skrall Fortress, this module has information and blueprints of an apparent Skrall War Machine under development. Apparently it was commissioned by a Skrall Warlord for an assault to a Matoran stronghold”“We’ll leave this to the Heavy Ops team. I have a new task for you”---USERNAME: ZEUS[CONNECTED]MARKSMAN: Zeus, do you copy, over. ZEUS: Clear and Loud MARKSMAN, what’s the situation?MARKSMAN: The General appointed us to a joint operation with Maverick-4, the Stealth team. As always I’m gonna be your eyes on the sky and monitor your progress from the recon ship.ZEUS: Copy, what’s the objective?MARKSMAN: Sierra-3 team got downed over Aqua Magna. They were taken to an underwater base by some…thing. HQ wants you to go underwater, meet with Maverick-4, rescue Sierra-3 and return home without anyone knowing. ZEUS: Sounds easy.MARKSMAN: As you know, Aqua Magna got infected with Pit Mutagen after the Great Cataclysm; HQ will provide Underwater Gear for this mission, including body armor resistant to the Pit Mutagen, silenced weapons and all the stuff you need for this mission. Do you have any question?ZEUS: Negative, ZEUS is ready to start.MARKSMAN: Good, we’re approaching the LZ. Zeus, remember: no mistakes, no excuses.---Vyrin grabbed the rope and slide down to the ocean from the Chopper, as he was rappelling down Marksman spoke to him through a microphone on the Glatorian’s ear.“Once you’re inside the base you’ll lose contact with me, after the mission is completed we’ll be waiting above the sea for extraction. Maverick-4 is waiting for you outside the base, meet with them and go through the ventilation of the place. You know the rest. Good luck Zeus.”As Vyrin submerged underwater he felt as if his body was flowing with energy, after all these waters were contaminated with a corrosive substance.Diving deeper he could see the immense fortress, nearby was the Maverick-4 team led by Dozkim, a Toa of Iron. “Vyrin, we’re glad to have you with us. Are you read to proceed?” Dozkim asked. Vyrin nodded and helped the Toa take down the ventilation port.“Zeus, take point. Theryd, do whatever this man orders you” Dozkim said as he and his team went another way.The Glatorian and the Toa of Earth crawled through the ventilation port until they reached an empty corridor. Carefully, Vyrin and Theryd navigated through the long corridor until they reached a room full with screens.“Maverick-1, do you copy. Dozkim do you hear me?” Theryd asked through the microphone. “Maverick-4, this is Maverick-1, what’s the situation Theryd” Dozkim replied. Theryd stepped forward and looked at one of the cameras.“I see you outside, you’re in Camera 6” Theryd replied.“Explain Maverick-4, what do you mean that you can see me in Camera 6?”“We found a camera room, every corner of this facility is monitored by a vigilance camera” Vyrin commented as he stared at the rest of the cameras. “This place looks… Deserted. Are you sure Sierra-3 are here?”“HQ lost contact with Sierra-3 near these coordinates. They can’t disappear in thin air” Dozkim said. “We’re entering the base, give us directions” “Copy Maverick-1, when you enter the base head to your right and run through the red corridor, Vyrin will be waving his arm outside”“Copy, I see you.”---The team walked with guns at hand while maneuvering through the apparently deserted fortress deep underwater, they haven’t located Sierra-3 yet, and their chances of finding them are decreasing as they move on forward.“Theryd, can you get Sierra-3 on the Heartbeat Radar?” Dozkim asked, Theryd moved his head in denial.“The only thing I’m getting in the radar are our own heartbeats, it’s a ghost base, nobody in it. Sans us obviously” Theryd muttered as he stared at his Radar.Vyrin stopped the team and stared at a nearby corner.“Do you hear it?” Vyrin said as he stared his corners.“Hear what?” Maverick-3 asked.Vyrin started running through the red corridor, reaching a White corridor that only had one way and one door. The Maverick-4 team followed the Glatorian, and stopped before the door. They could hear machinery sounds coming from the door.“Is that... Machinery?” Maverick-2 asked. “Seems like it” Vyrin replied as he opened the door closely.Inside, they found an interesting discovery: Toa and Glatorian were supervising a drilling machine that tore the ocean floor and destroyed it piece by piece.“Is that a Minery Station?” Theryd asked.“Why in Mata Nui’s sake would Toa and Glatorian work together to tear apart the ocean floor?” Dozkim questioned as he stared the giant drill.Theryd looked around and walked to a staircase leading to a ventilation port, calling the rest of the team he started crawling inside the ventilation.“Only a madman would enter a place full of hostiles, let's see where this ventilation system goes and we'll find a way to stop 'em, aye?” Theryd said as he crawled in the ventilation.The team crawled a few meters, until the road stopped inside a storage sector, leaving the ventilation system they found themselves behind some boxes. Vyrin stopped the team and said “Don't. Move.”The group saw a Toa talking with... Someone cloaked in a black cape and a black top hat, they could hear the Toa saying“We're extracting the last one of the objects you requested, we'll finish in fifty minutes” the Toa said. The cloaked being nodded and disappeared in a puff of smoke, Vyrin signaled the group and stepped in taking the Toa as a hostage. “What's going on in this place? What are you going to do with that drill?!” Dozkim said as he grabbed the Toa by the throat. “We got a request to drill some elements from the ocean floor! I know nothing more I swear!” the Toa said. “Enough chit-chat, where's Sierra-3?” Vyrin asked.“Who?” the Toa replied while shaking.“The bloody Sierra-3 team! Where are they!?” Vyrin asked again. “We don't have any team here! I swear!” the Toa replied. Theryd grabbed the Toa and froze him in place to the wall using his Ice Gun, he then looked at Vyrin.“What are we gonna do now?” Theryd asked. “What I had in mind since I accepted this mission. Kill 'em all”---Vyrin and Theryd went together behind the drilling machine, there the Glatorian strapped a piece of explosives to the back of the drilling machine. Dozkim and the rest of the team went to free the escape way. The pair walked away from the drill and detonated the explosives, the drill started to malfunction and started to fall to the ocean floor, nearly crushing the workers. “C'mon Theryd, it's time to go” Vyrin said as they started to run back to the chopper.They entered the red corridor again, where they found the cloaked being running away, Vyrin thought for a second and yelled.“Theryd, get to the LZ, I need to capture that guy!” Vyrin said as he pursued the cloaked being.Vyrin pursued the mysterious ringleader of the Drilling Operation for ten minutes, until they arrived to a dead-end. The Glatorian jumped over the Cloaked Being, but the being disappeared again in a puff of black smoke leaving a strange amulet on the ground. Vyrin grabbed the amulet and started running to the LZ, midway he found Theryd and both started running through the Red Corridor until they reached the Ventilation Port where they entered the underwater base.As they crawled back to the ocean, Vyrin yelled at Theryd “Theryd, destroy this place” Theryd grabbed a control on his belt and pressed a button on it, the base started to blow up just as the team boarded the extraction chopper. Without any traces or survivors, Vyrin opened his laptop again.---USERNAME: ZEUS[CONNECTED]ZEUS: MARKSMAN, come in MARKSMAN.MARKSMAN: I copy loud and clear Zeus, what's the situation. ZEUS: Mission Successful, base was destroyed with no traces. But Sierra-3 wasn't there.MARKSMAN: You did a fine job Zeus, you're going back home. We'll search for Sierra-3 later. Good job.–--USERNAME: MARKSMAN[CONNECTED]MARKSMAN: Overlord, this is Marksman.OVERLORD: Tell me Marksman. MARKSMAN: General, mission is a success, but we've got a problem.OVERLORD: What is it Marksman?MARKSMAN: No signs of Sierra-3 on the underwater base. No survivors, but Zeus reports that there was a single survivor with an unknown identity.OVERLORD: We'll search for Sierra-3 later. Marksman, I want you to archive this as a Classified Mission, I don't want anyone to learn about this.MARKSMAN: Understood, but under what name?OVERLORD: … The Underwater Darkness--- Elsewhere.Bara Magna is known to hold the biggest Graveyard in existence, here the beings who passed away are laid to rest so their bodies can get respected for their past deeds.But today everything changes.It's night-time, every villager is asleep on their comfy beds as they think that their next day is gonna be a good one, but they are wrong.Here lies Turaga Bihrs, he shall be remembered as a true hero to his village. The cloaked being stood on the Tombstone of the Turaga, silent, staring, watching.It started to rain, but he didn't care. He kept staring at the tombstones of the graveyard. A thunder hit the ground nearby, with a fierce look of his green eyes, the cloaked being grabbed his cape and extended it, revealing three symbols carved in each side of the cape, and his face – A black Iden with his body covered with black armor that showed no sign of skin. The six symbols started to shine in a green colour, another thunder hit the ground and from one of the graves, a hand of a Glatorian broke the earth and clenched his fist to the sky.The cloaked being didn't say anything as he observed how various fists showed up from the graves, clenching their hands to the sky.It's going to be a dark day.The End... For now.-------------------------This is NOT an epic. I'm gonna make a sequel of this story, but it's not an epic.Comments and Criticism is appreciated.
