That black Bionicle armor addon is pretty cool on the droid. All things considered that droid looks pretty good even though I am completely and utterly disinterested in Lego Star Wars. The other two are pretty boring, and I am bothered a tad by those really big and really smooth thigh pieces they have. A troubling step towards simplification, if you ask me.

The droid is really dope though.

I love Jyn, even though her outfit doesn't wow me as much as Rey's did with its more exciting colors and that stylish textile element. Kinda frustrated that she'll be $25, since she has mostly the same proportions as Rey, but I guess it makes sense since Jyn has more elaborate weapons, more stuff built onto her back, and more new molds. She still has a better piece count than previous $25 figures.

Her head sculpt is great, though I'm frustrated that LEGO chose to give her headgear, since as with Rey and Poe, it limits the head's potential for reuse. The new torso shell seems about as limited as the previous Star Wars torso shell, but it has good proportions and good printing, and should be useful for future female characters in this series. She has some nice recolors too.

K-2SO has an amazingly creative build that makes heavy use of Technic, which is probably why he's got the best piece count for his price point out of all the Star Wars buildable figures to date. This article is the first thing that really sheds light on his function, which sounds about the same as Skull Basher's, which I loved. I appreciate the variety in functions!

The Death Trooper is the one figure I'm sort of "meh" on. As classy as they look, monochrome trooper builds bore me, and while this figure mixes it up with a decorated pauldron and some sort of ammo or explosives over their chest, it doesn't overcome that bland color scheme. Even Phasma and the First Order Stormtrooper had more contrast, plus a more nostalgic look.

The new thigh shell used on all three figures is interesting, though its benefit over existing shells feels kind of limited. I don't know if the curves are necessary, and I don't like how it's mounted to the sides, which makes the thighs seem very narrow from the front. At least this shell has connection points besides the ball snap, unlike the shin and torso shells on previous Star Wars buildable figures.

Overall, Jyn is the character I'm most looking forward to. All three figures are well-designed, but Jyn is the only one with an exciting color scheme, which has played a big role in all my Star Wars buildable figure purchases so far. I know monochrome troopers are very much A Thing in Star Wars, but I hope future series of buildable figures feature more color variety than this series does.

I want that black piston add-on... Other than that the figures don't particularly excite me. I'm afraid that after Bionicle's cancellation we'll end up getting CCBS pieces mostly in colors such as browns, greys, black and white. I can't blame Lego for that, considering most clothes and suits of armor in SW are either grey, black or brown but I still hope we'll get an original IP with more vibrant color schemes.

Oh man, only a month away!

I'm really liking K-2SO4 and his snazzy pieces.  Hopefully we'll be seeing the lightsaber hilt piece used in even more colors and applications.  A bit concerned about the function though, Skull Basher's was pretty neat but tended to be a bit floppy, so I hope they've managed to make a more stable version.

I also really like the new thigh shell.  Looks like it'll be good for longer limbs, since it provides more wrap-around coverage than a lot of existing shells.

Death Trooper and Jyn are pretty okay too.

Jyn is the only one that has a decent color scheme, so she'll probably be the only one of these that I pick up. I have to agree with Black Six though; I dislike the hat that's a part of her head mold. Sort of limits usability in MOCs. I do like how they created a more feminine torso shell for her though, it was a nice touch.

Hmm... Yeah, gotta agree with everyone saying the color schemes are kinda boring. Would've been nice to get more accent colors on the Death Trooper and K-S20. Jyn is interesting, but as Aanchir mentioned, I would have preferred the head accessories not be molded in. I hope they do another wave that has some more interesting classic characters-- Yoda, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, etc.

In any case, I'm glad to see LEGO is making more of these. They're certainly interesting to look at, and it's nice to see constraction hasn't gone away.

I hadn't even noticed this before.  Smaller less blocky torso shell gives me hope for characters with thinner profiles, like Sabine.  C'mon, Rebels constraction figures!

Oh man, that would be awesome! I'd love Sabine and the Inquisitor as constraction figures!

I feel like it might be hard to capture Sabine's thin and agile form in CCBS without looking awkward. I'd rather see a model of Kanan, who had a brilliant asymmetrical design (honestly though he's looking absolutely baller in the third season).

But yeah, the Grand Inquisitor had a great design! I'd love to see a spinning function with his lightsaber, if at all possible. Spinning hand?

Yes definitely.  A Kanan/Ezra/Sabine vs. Inquisitor/Kallus/Stormtrooper wave would be fantastic.  Hopefully they wouldn't be considered too out of date as characters.

If I recall correctly Black Six didn't notice it in his video either, heh. A less blocky torso is something I've wanted in CCBS for a while now. Having one opens up a lot of options for slimmer characters in MOCs.

Could be built similar to Makuta Icarax's spinning shield? Forearm construction might end up being a little weird though.

These look pretty decent, but what will always make me hesitate on these guys (and gals) is the price. I know it's a licensed theme, but I don't feel the same value as in many BIONICLE sets. I hope that less constraction competition will allow Lego to release a wider variety of buildable Star Wars characters.

As to the possibility of Rebels chracters, which I am very much in favor of, the window might be closing on that opportunity. Filoni said that plans are not to have the show be as long running as the CLone Wars, and Lego would only likely produce those figures as long as the show is running.

The new armor shells look nice, and I love the imperial symbol on the paldron, but wow it makes me double take that these are $25 sets. Darn licensing fees

Dang, that sniper rifle looks cool.  I hope the barrel doesn't get in the way of the launcher, other than that... say, has anybody tried using those gun pieces with any of their MOCs?  If I can find one of these on clearance or something, I think I'll get one to make something with the gun.
