Makuta the corrupted maskmaker

Recommended Posts

While I do think there's a lot going on in the build, it draws out the features and gives Makuta a more dynamic, exposed-mechanism feel. You've avoided shells and from what I can tell, you've chosen to forgo most G2 pieces altogether, which I'd say is an achievement in itself.

His expression does well to relay his corrupted nature. Custom heads are not the easiest but I can see his defined eyes and features.

Your concept offers foundation for his patchwork colour scheme, though I wonder if it would look more cohesive with all his light on one side, while the darkness ebbs in from the other (I do think a hint of red in his torso would help harmonize his being - yet the torso build astounds me, love the central core that branches out combined with the minifig abdominal portion!). Or perhaps you were purposefully juxtaposes to the fullest by melding on both sides of his person?

White has never really been a Makuta colour, but for the general colourscheme and theme of this set it's good. The detailing and shape of this build are cool and I like the theme split majority corruption theme. Well done.

Thanks a lot!

Wow... I, uh...

No offense, and this is very well-built - but it's too much of an eyesore. I can't look at the pictures properly because it just hurts. Not so much the body as the face, though.

What do you mean about "eyesore"?

Thanks for such detailed answer!

I am agree about adding red in body, I think, if I did it in accurate way, it could potentially look better than now.

About colour distribution: I chose "crossed symmetry", because it's looks more balanced, than "side symmetry", I think.

The colours, for some reason, make the face absolutely unbearable to look at.

If you could make a version with perhaps a little more gold/white, that would be easier to see.

EDIT: Ohh, you little sneak... I see what you were going for there. (maybe not intentionally, lol)
