First, six scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including a 16-foot model of the Star Destroyer Finalizer, are scheduled to be unveiled in the center of the existing Star Wars Miniland in March. Second, a beach-themed expansion of the LEGOLAND Water Park called Surfer's Bay will open in summer 2017, featuring competitive waterslide races and a "spray ground" with water jets. Finally, the LEGOLAND Hotel will be replacing eighteen Kingdom themed rooms with Ninjago themed rooms in anticipation of a new LEGO Castle themed hotel opening in 2018.
