Bionicle characters being Lanterns (from DC Comics)

Hi, guys! I am not sure if this would be a good topic, but I can say it, anyway: which (favorite) Bionicle character do you think would be worthy of being a Lantern from DC Comics?

You see, in DC Comics, there is this emotional spectrum that has colors which represent emotions. This is all from Green Lantern. Each color can choose a character who expresses its emotion that the color matches, so the character becomes worthy of becoming a Lantern. The Lantern can use a magic rings that can create constructs made of colored energy based on the Lantern's emotion, can fly, survive space, and translate languages (For more information, read here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_ring_(DC_Comics)) ). There are nine types of Lanterns, and each have their own group, color, and emotion that they are worthy of, respectively:

1. Green Lantern Corps (green and willpower) - the main hero, Green Lantern, works there. More info: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Lantern_Corps

2. Sinestro Corps (yellow and fear) - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinestro_Corps

This goes to the DC Comics character, Green Lantern, because he is worthy to use the ring for expressing willpower, so he can make green constructs based on his willpower.

So, I would like to think that Bionicle characters would be worthy to using the rings because they expressed their emotions. We know that the characters have feelings while being bio-mechanical, so here's my list of worthy characters:

1. Green Lanterns - the Toa Mata/Nuva/Toa Masters/Uniters, Takanuva, Hahli

2. Sinestro Lanterns - the Makuta species and Turahk, the Piraka, the Toa Inika/Mahri

3. Orange Lanterns - Makuta Teridax, Makuta Icarax, Makuta Bitil, and the Piraka

4. Red Lanterns - the Makuta, Makuta Miserix, Kurahk, Tahu, Vezok, Tuma, and Metus

5. Blue Lanterns - Matoro, Takanuva

6. Indigo Tribe members - Gali, Onua, Takanuva, G1 Pohatu, Ekimu

7. Star Sapphires - I know that love is non-canon in Bionicle (perhaps only in 2001-2008), but I would go with Macku, Gali, Nokama, Hahli, and Kiina on this one.

8. Black Lanterns - the Makuta species, the Shadowed One, Nidhiki, Krekka, Carapar, Takadox, Eliminator, Skull Creatures, Umarak, people who got revived in the Red Star

9. White Lanterns - the Great Spirit Mata Nui, Toa Ignika, Matoro, the Toa Mata/Toa Nuva/Toa Masters/Toa Uniters, Takanuva.

 

So, there. You see what I mean? What are your thoughts about characters in your minds, who are they, and what kinds of Lanterns are they worthy of and why? I mean, we experienced them having emotions while being bio-mechanical beings, so I think the Lantern idea would be interesting, as you can think about their feelings.

Well, I always thought Onepu would have made a good Green Lantern if the Green Lantern Corps made contact with Spherus Magna, that is, in an alternate cosmos where humans were in the same universe as the Solis Magna System.

Huh, you sure do love comparing franchises.  

I immediately thought of Tahu in Red Lanterns, with his short temper and all.

 

Lewa could fit in the Green Lanterns I guess. The example that comes to mind is in Beware the Bohrok when he frees himself from the control of the Krana using pure willpower. That and a sharing a bromantic moment with Onua.

 

Gali fits in Blue Lanterns I think. She is hopefull right? Or am I confusing her with Katara from Avatar? Hey there's a comparison for ya

Just for fun, I'm gonna try to do characters whose colors don't match their ring.

 

Yeah, Teridax would definitely be Orange, and I like Takanuva as a Blue.

 

I feel like just about any heroic Toa can be Green, though I'm actually having the easiest time picturing Lhikan.  Guy was a bad...donkey.  Yeah.  Even as a Turaga, he had absolutely no fear whatsoever, throwing himself in front of a Shadow Hand just to save his friend and successor.

 

Speaking of Vakama, I can definitely see him being a Blue, at least as a Turaga (though I can see him being one as a Toa as well).  He knew how to instill hope into the Matoran through his encouragement and stories.  But I think he'd look pretty good in Indigo too.  He'd even get another cool staff to go with it!

Tahu as a Red Lantern? Well, you can saw that. I wonder if Tahu would have to be a good guy because the power of anger would be a bad influence. Gali as a Blue Lantern? Well, I always thought she would be an Indigo Lantern because she is compassionate to people around her, including her teammates, but I would agree that her being hopeful. (And of course, I love comparing franchises. Good comparison with Katara, too. )

Well said about the Lhikan and Vakama.

Gorast, Kulta, Artakha, Gresh, Karzahni, and Umarak, I understand. Lariska for Orange? I don't know, and she's a bounty hunter. What greedy acts do you think she committed? Korgot for Violet? Is she in love of anyone? Well, I guess it's possible because members of her kind can be married couples as their tradition. She likes Onua, too.

I admit that I don't know much about the Green Lantern lore, so I don't think I could really say which character would be best for which color of ring. But I will say that I think the members of the OoMN would look really cool with such powers, so I will say that they could be Lanterns.
