Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, and while we got some great models including one based on Moria, we sadly never saw an official Balrog. Don't worry though - Nuju Metru has us covered. Head over to the System-Based Creations forum and check out The Balrog of Moria, his take on the famous fantasy foe. Aaron uses everything from click-hinges to Mixel joints to CCBS ball-and-sockets to give his creation 39 points of articulation, which gives it the range of movement to take on a wide variety of poses. The beast certainly captures the look and scale of its companions seen on screen in Peter Jackson's films and in the renderings of artists like John Howe, with obvious accommodations made for the medium.
