You Wouldn't Want to Live in LEGO City

Recommended Posts

Trending online right now is some useful advice for anyone thinking of moving to LEGO City: Don't. Let's not omit the fact that there's probably a hundred police HQs in the city. Not jails, but HQs. The police are so omnipresent, that they have full-on HQs on every block.

On a more lighthearted note, at least people like their boating. Sure, escaped convicts like going out on the water every once in a while, but so do the innocent citizens. If I remember correctly, there are some nice speedboat sets.

Wait minute, I just realized, are there no residential housings in LEGO City?! We have police stations, firehouses, airports, but no homes! Where do they all go home to at night?

There's one house!

Well, the front half of a house, anyway...

Most LEGO City buildings are open in the back. That tends to be the norm in pretty much all themes besides Creator, Minecraft, and the Simpsons. Gotta be able to reach inside and play with the figures somehow!

City House does have a pretty small floor plan compared to Heartlake City houses, though. Most of those have at least a 12x16 footprint for the ground floor and a 8x16 footprint for the upper floors, rather than a 6x16 footprint for all floors.
