Bionicle Christmas

Hi, guys!:) Today's Christmas, so I would like to ask a fun question: If Bionicle characters would celebrate their own Christmas, how would you think they would do it?

For me, I have some ideas:

1. Matoran, Toa, and Turaga - In the island of Mata Nui and Voya Nui they would use trees as Christmas trees, have meals filled with food that they absorb, and worship the Great Spirit Mata Nui. The people would give each presents, including weapons, masks, tools, armor, or dolls. They would believe that a Toa or Mata Nui would be their own Santa Claus who gives them presents and rides a flying boat or some other vehicle carried by flying Mata Nui Cows. They would also call it Mata-mas. The same would go with other Matoran-Toa-Turaga-inhabited places in the Matoran Universe. I am not sure about Metru Nui, Mahri Nui, and Karda Nui, but I can say that in Metru Nui, people would use metal things as Christmas trees, Mahri Nui would use stone or seaweed as such, and Karda Nui would use stalactites as such. Even people from Nynrah would use metal things as Christmas trees, too.:P These would also believe that their Santas would use different Rahi. I would also believe that in the island of Artakha, the Matoran would believe that the being Artakha would be their Santa. The same would go to the island of Karzahni, but this would be tyrannical and the Matoran in there would be forced by their ruler, Karzahni, to believe that he would be their own Santa.:P

2. The Skakdi - they would use trees for Christmas trees, have meals filled with their dead foes for food, worship their warlords, and give each other presents, like weapons, if they are willing to do it. They would also believe that a Skakdi would be their Santa Claus who rides a flyin vehicle carried by flying Muaka. They would call it Skakdi-mas.:P

3. The Agori and Glatorian - they would have Spherus Magna animals for a meal. They would also have hard time finding a tree in Bara Magna if it is a desert planet, but they can use a piece of metal as a Christmas tree. They would give each other presents, like weapons or armor. They would also believe that a Glatorian, Element Lord, or a Great Being would be their Santa Claus who rides a flying vehicle carried by Sand Stalkers. They would also call it Spherus-Magna-mas.

4. The Skrall - they would have Spherus Magna animals and dead foes for dinner, use a metal thing for a Christmas tree, give each other presents, like weapons and armor, and worship their leader, Tuma. They would also believe a leader-class Skrall or the Elemental Lord of Rock would be their Santa and rides a flying vehicle carried by Rock Steeds. The Skrall would call their holiday Skrall-mas.

5. The Vorox - I know they aren't too sapient, but let's say Malum taught them how to do Christmas by having SM animals and dead foes for a meal.:P The Bota Magna Vorox would do the same thing. The Vorox would get a tree or metal thing for a Christmas tree, give each together presents, like weapons and armor, and worship their leaders. They would also believe that a Vorox or the Element Lord of Sand would be their Santa. They would also call their holiday Vorox-mas.

6. The Bone Hunters - They would do the same thing as the Skrall, but they would believe a Bone Hunter would be their Santa. They would also call their holiday Bone-Hunter-mas.

7. The Matoran Universe and Spherus Magna people - they would combine their Christmas traditions together or make up similar one to honor the day that they United to fight against Makuta Teridax.

8. People of Okoto - they would have Okoto animals for dinner and have a party. They would use trees as Christmas trees and give each other presents, like weapons, armor, and masks. They would also worship the Mask Makers (well, only Ekimu because of Makuta being evil) and the Elemental Creatures. The people would believe that an Okoto villager or Ekimu would be their Santa who rides a flying vehicle, probably an Airship, carried by flying Okoto animals or the Elemental Creatures (I would like to think that Agil would be Okoto's own Rudolph because he can use his light powers to make himself act like a flashlight). People would call their holiday, Okoto-mas, too.:P

Plus, I know that good people would get presents and bad people would get coal. I would imagine the Toa Mata from G1 would get their G2 counterparts' weapons, armor, and masks as Christmas presents while the G2 Toa would get theirs as such. If Makuta Teridax from G1 were to be nice, he would be given a new set of armor, weapons, and mask.:P

So, there. I know that Bionicle characters don't celebrate Christmas, but I would like to think that they do in their own ways. What do you guys think? Merry Christmas, too!:)

Well that kinda depends on what Christmas means to them. I could see them celebrating a gift exchange for something such as the reuniting of the planets or something, but if their universe and ours had somehow melded and they celebrated the religious holiday of Christmas then I could see something of the sorts.

Gleaming glistens The Red Star,
Bringing life to death afar,
Up away in deepest space,
You call me from your distant place.

In canon, young Matoran on Metru Nui believed that Mata Nui flew down the chutes to deliver gifts on Naming day. But the thought of stressed-out Kopaka silently freaking out about having to play Santa is the best thing. Nuju would be no help whatsoever, but Matoro would probably make a good little helper elf and have a pretty good idea of what gifts to get the other Matoran.

Pohatu would love it, though. It probably helps that being able to summon kohlii balls, carvings, stone jewelry and greeting tablets out of thin air takes a lot of the stress out of gift shopping.

Lewa would be trying to work out how to share the Miru Nuva's power between six cows and his questionable attempt at building a sleigh. Matau tried to tell him he doesn't literally need the sleigh or cows, but Lewa looked so disappointed he let him do it anyway. This can only end well.

I also headcanon that on Spherus Magna, gaudy festive jumpers are a huge hit with the biomechanical community, who are fairly new to the concept of clothing, and even newer to the concept of fashion sense. Ta-Matoran in particular feel the cold a lot more, so little Agori grannies have taken to knitting and selling brightly-coloured mask-cozies for them. Hahli and Takanuva have an ongoing competition regarding who can find the silliest garment to give Jaller, and who can persuade him to wear it in public.
