Popular Post BrickPharaoh
My newest MOC to date. It's been particularly well received on Flickr so I thought I should see how it fares on here! Anubis by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr Some more pics: Anubis_DANCE! by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr Anubis_side by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr Fourth Wall I chose to try and make it as faithful to its general appearance as possible, and consequently it propagates a lot of the general aesthetics of several different renditions of the Ancient Deity. So that's everything. Let me know what you think! Also, let me know which rendition you prefer! Edited January 24, 2017 by Black Six 21 Quote "Welcome to Valhalla, Warrior." ToaTImeLord
First off I love ancient Egyptian style and art. This just captures that style in great detail. The build it self looks like it use some illegal connections but it gives this figure the shaping it needs. Most system/CCBS mixes I see are not this good.Great job. Millennium
I have only two words for this (and an exclamation mark): oh yeah! Everything Ancient Egypt-related just gets me crazy and this is no exception. The head looks really canine, good work with the ankh and the was sceptre. Are you going to do other gods? Pohaturon
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam I mean, illegal connection but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam. This is neat! I always thought that the Vahki head would be great for a MOC of my favorite Egyptian god. I love the use of the fabric parts as well. Good job! Quote Stone rocks Model Designer at The LEGO Group. cjr205
This is a really creative and complex build. It's awesome.
The Invisible Handman
I'm not so fond of the elbow construction there, but despite that this is a really awesome build. The head dress has quite a few neat touches. Quote {Brickshelf Page - BZPRPG Profile - HFRPG Profile - Project Protodermis Profile}
Millennium
Could someone tell me where is this illegal connection and why is it illegal??
BrickPharaoh
Could someone tell me where is this illegal connection and why is it illegal??Quite a few actually, though none that stress pieces excessively. The Ankh (vertical clip holding the 2x2 round plate), the arm padding on the back of the arm (held using officail Lego elastic bands), and the wings on the headdress (held by clips with bars from an illegal point of connection). Thanks for everyone's feedback! I might post a how-to on the skirt in the near future. Quote "Welcome to Valhalla, Warrior." Toa Imrukii
Grandious. I myself have always been a huge fan of Ancient Egyptian stuff ever since I was little, and in my humble opinion you acted this. Fantastic work. Endless Sea (Alaki Nuva)
Impressive. The pieces flow together very well for the most part, the colors are perfectly done, and the head design is fantastic. Quote It is not for us to decide the fate of angels.
