Hapori Tohu
For the past few years, LEGO has timed the announcement of one of their Direct To Consumer (D2C) sets with Toy Fair. This year was no different, and a few minutes into our time at the LEGO booth the newest Pirates of the Caribbean set was announced. 71042 Silent Mary will be joined by two BrickHeadz to tie into the release of Dead Men Tell No Tales, which premiers on May 26th. Oddly enough, we haven't been sent any hi-res images as LEGO often does, but you can read on to see the pictures we took at the event and head over to Yahoo! for their article with even more info. Toa Smoke Monster
I haven't been a fan of BrickHeadz, and seeing these two here doesn't change my opinion on them. But I guess their cool for those that do collect them. As for the Silent Mary, I will say that that is one impressive set! It really does capture the look of the ship from the trailer, and that just makes it even cooler IMO. Thanks for the photos! Dark_Stranger
The Silent Mary is pretty incredible, even if I wish there were sets closer to my price range (no, Brickheadz don't count). Hopefully this monster will be discounted enough at some point that I can actually buy it.

I got the Black Pearl last time around and my brother got Queen Anne's Revenge so it's awful tempting to get this ship to start putting together a cursed armada (my only regret is they never sold the Flying Dutchmen...). Can't wait to see the movie though! Quote Formerly Iron_Man5
