What LEGO characters would you like to see as plush toys?

At the beginning of this month LEGO released a lot of new products, but some that immediately stood out to me were plush toys of Kai, Nya, Batman, and Batgirl! They're pretty adorable IMO, and it's nice that the selection so far is gender balanced, though sadly they're still not available in the United States (Target has a "LEGO Batman Movie Block Knight Cuddle Pillow", but the quality doesn't seem as good).

This got me thinking: what LEGO characters would you like to see as plush toys?

For me, Kai and Nya sort of satisfy my desire for Ninjago characters, but I wouldn't mind seeing plush toys of the other four ninja, ideally in the same "Hands of Time" ninja suits. This would be very easy to do with the same sort of template as the Kai and Nya plushes. Plush Nexo Knights could also be really cute.

I would love to see plush LEGO Elves characters — either of the elves themselves or some of the theme's magical creatures. Some that I think would look particularly nice as plush toys include Flamy the fox, Ms. Spry the squirrel, Jynx the cat, Elandra the dragon queen, Estari the dragon princess, or Ashwing the goblin king's dragon. Creatures like these couldn't use designs as uniform as minifigure or mini-doll characters could, though.

Benny and Unikitty strike me as some LEGO Movie characters who would make the cutest plushies, but I imagine a lot of people (especially kids) would also love plushies of Emmet and Wyldstyle.

Of Bionicle characters, Hewkii and Macku are some of the obvious choices as plush toys since they were already depicted that way in the Mata Nui Online Game II. I've also seen fans make custom plush Kraata, Sea Squids, and Shadow Leeches that were really cute. Bigger characters might have to be more heavily simplified than their minifigure counterparts, but even so I think the G2 Elemental Creatures could be quite fun and cuddly in plush form.

Anybody else have any suggestions?

A Unikitty plush would be a dream come true!  I agree with the desire for Lego Elves animal plushes, as well.

Beyond just characters, it'd be neat to get some basic Lego animals as plushes. This Lego Octopus plush has taunted me with its limited availability since I first discovered it.

FYI, we've the Batman plush at the LEGO store I work at, so they are showing up stateside.

I made a mistake in my post, since the Batman plush is on the online LEGO Shop for the US as well. But even so, the others are decidedly not. I hope it's something like one getting pushed ahead/the others being pushed back and not that only Batman is being released here.

Unikitty definitely.  And Kraata or Shadow Leech plushies would be fantastic, especially if the latter came in scaled-up Tridax Pods.  Or perhaps a Skull Spider plushie you could wear on your head, in the same vein as the various Headcrab or Facehugger wearables and products out there.

'nuff said.

Isn't there a Macku version as well?

I would to see plush toys of the Toa Mata or some Matoran. They could be neat IMO.

I also think plush Kanohi Masks would be cool. I could see a lot of Bionicle fans liking something like that.

Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.

Bionicle's not gonna be the vanguard of solving the gender balance issue.

Wasn't saying they would be, I just thought I remembered seeing a Macku plush at some point.

Someone actually made the dolls of our beloved matoran lovers: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/13235-hewkii-macku-dolls/ I don't know if the images are still good, they're not showing up on my computer at this time, but there you go! :D

But yes Hewkii and Macku have my vote for plushes. They're so adorable together. :begging:

I'd be more interested in pushing LEGO to license out some characters to manufacturers that make quality stuffed animals. Most of the plush toys we've gotten with LEGO branding so far have been very cheap quality-wise - sometimes with fabrics that feel downright scratchy. I forget who made the plush minifigures that were available at Toys R Us a few years back, but those were horrific (even though a similar design had been passably made for LEGOLAND before).

Given that the European market has a few high-end manufacturers in that space, you'd think it would have been a no-brainer to license Ollie the Dragon (a long-running classic mascot of the LEGOLAND Parks) to a company like Steiff or Hermann that could make a top-notch version of the character for adult collectors - the European parks in particular could easily sell an iconic souvenir for the equivalent of a few hundred dollars each. It's not like LEGO doesn't aim sets at that demographic, or like LEGOLAND doesn't already carry licensed plush items from other toy manufacturers...

I think LEGO has done OK with picking things to make into plush toys. I already mentioned Ollie, but we also can get the DUPLO rabbit (even if it is a creepy rendition of the character) and a healthy variety of Friends and DUPLO animals. What I'd really like to see added to the assortment (although it may be inevitable someday) is a few plush toys based on animals introduced in the Collectible Minifigure range - the teddy bear being an extremely obvious pick, but the penguins and Batman's lobster would be great too.

I also feel a need to own (in as many forms as possible) the Bat-bear from the Batman movie.

If they made the Elves dragons in plush form, I'd feel a need to own them all. I'd be curious about other more organic characters from LEGO's past...I know I've seen pictures of the Aquazone octopus in plush form before. The green Dragon Masters dragon could be fun. Fabuland would work well, as would Arctic polar bears, the DUPLO cow, the Chima animals, the minifig fish, the Homemaker baby, Captain Redbeard's parrot, the sharks, the various Divers marine animals, the Paradisa pony, the TDN module...then again, some of those probably wouldn't sell very well.

I just found out that eBay has a LEGO plush section: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/lego-plush?rmvSB=true

BrickLink also has a plush toy category.

As Duplo rabbits go, this one was offered for a fairly low price at LEGOLAND Billund two years ago (and also as a free gift with Duplo purchases of a certain size). I picked up a couple at the time as gifts for friends and family; I wish I'd picked up more! I felt the quality was nice and they were very soft.

That avoids the "creepy" and "cheap" complaints I mentioned earlier, but it's also a more modern imaging of the character. I guess it makes sense, if, you know, you're buying DUPLO stuff for kids young enough to be in the target age range for it.

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone who said Unikitty. She was a real missed opportunity when the first Lego Movie came around, and I'd love to see Lego rectify that oversight. Also, not gonna lie, a cuddly Macku would be one of my favourite things they could produce, too xD

As much as I'd love plushies of Hewkii and Macku like in MNOG, imagine if LEGO released a whole line of plushie Matoran. Takua, Jala, Hahli, Nuparu, Kopeke, Matoro, Kotu, Kongu, Tamaru...
