These are beautiful! Thanks for making them! I know it's a tall order, but I do hope you're able to do Adventures and Legends.

And I doubt these will need to be taken down. Like Skeleton said, it's not like Scholastic is losing anything off of these.

One last thing: the Journey's End link doesn't seem to be working, but luckily that one is on BioMedia Project with all the story serials.

I'm not sure this is exactly legal, but I'm pretty sure it's okay. It's non-profit and it's incredibly well done, so I welcome it! Great job and thank you for sharing.

I like that you used the TradeMarker font, too. Do you mind if I asked how you obtained it? I used to have a copy of the entire font that (I admit) I never bought but I lost it while irresponsibly installing a new OS. The one thing I apparently didn't back up.

I have a feeling this is about to get shut down by the mods, but I just want to say thanks. I own an entire collection of the Bionicle books (excluding the ones from Bara Magna, they always seemed kind of "different" to me), but having some in PDF form is very handy.

Wasn't there only one Bara Magna book (released in English)?

Technically two-Raid on Vulcanis and The Legend Reborn.

Um...is this legal?

How much money does Scholastic ever make from these Bionicle books today?

Zero dollars? ..... oh.

Not legal per se but no one is being cheated out of money here. Except for eBay sellers.

It's been over 13 years that these particular books were released. If they aren't even available through online retailer stores then i think its a 90% chance that there is no worry of financial infringement.

-------------

As for my opinion Thank you so much for taking effort to provide these books. This great upload is definitely worthy of becoming a fron page news headline on BZPower home page.

These books are definitely great to read. My favourite moment so far is when Tahu Nuva asks Lewa to keep it secret about Tahu's tree climbing failure.

I'm happy to see this here! I have all the novels, personally, but having a handy digital format is a great idea. Thanks for your work on this! I wouldn't worry too much about the legality of it. Like everyone's been saying, it's not like Scholastic is making money off these relics anymore. :U

About the only places you can even find the books now are ebay and Bricklink. And even then, that's pushing it seeing as how rare it is to find the specific ones I want.

If anything, while this might be questionable (while still in a gray area, in the sense these aren't available anymore and Lego and Scholastic most likely will not reprint any of these books), this is one effective way to keep the books relevant and make them available to fans who never got to read them before. While I have nearly all of them, I never did get to own Time Trap or the Web of Shadows novelization, for example.

It's phenomenal to see that these exist, particularly as theses appear to be reformatted to optimize forlayout and spacing, while Cross-Wired-Freak's attempt was literally just a series of scans. Thank you, man.

As far as legality goes, they're technically not falling within what's allowed, but it shouldn't be too much of a concern. Neither does jaywalking.

Thanks so much for making these! I'd wanted to do this myself for a while, actually, but never got around to doing it.

Would it be possible (and not too difficult) for you to upload these as Word doc files as well? I'd like to be able to reformat the text a little for a personal project. I can just feed them through a PDF to .docx converter, but I figured if you're converting these to PDF from Word, maybe you could just upload the Word files.

Yes, I'm making the PDFs from Word files. If you're interested I will upload them too. If it isn't a secret what is your project?.:)

That would be great!

I'm trying to compile all of the Bionicle books and serials into one, continuous story, in the appropriate reading order. As part of that, I want to be able to change the formatting of everything to match (and make more text fit on each page, so the page count isn't too enormous). For the books from 2007-onward, I also want to splice serial chapters into the books where appropriate (since, for example, the events of Into the Darkness are concurrent with Legends #7 and #8).

I'm pretty sure this isn't infringing on anything since the books are not commercially available anymore and the OP isn't asking anything in return. I don't know if you have the whole book series, but I'd be happy to chip in. I've got them all sans Legends #9 I believe, as well as most guides like World (as mentioned above), Dark Hunters and Rahi. That said, the books are in another house right now, so this would be at some point in the future.

I personally feel that the principle is just as valid-if not more so-than the financial impact or lack thereof.

Nice! Will you be compiling them into a physical book or are you keeping it as just a word file? If the former, I would very much like to see it.

Speaking of projects, I am planning on eventually creating more Bionicle omnibuses to continue where Bionicle Adventures: Volume 1 left off, along with Chronicles in one omnibus. Molnarnoah's work might prove useful in that goal.

Currently I'm just making it as a Word file, but I would love to make it into a physical book. Honestly, I'm just not sure how to go about doing that :P

Ach, yeah. I need to learn some book binding myself before I can really tackle my dream. Best of luck if you decide to go the book route in the future.

Hi, and welcome back! I was worried, once I saw the date, but you should be fine. Thanks for continuing this project, I haven't viewed anything yet, but from the discussion, it sounds amazing. Best of luck in the future!

P.S. Honestly, this feels like peeping behind the curtain of the Biological Chronicle project. Thanks again for returning!
