Three... Two... One... Blast Off!

Recommended Posts

LEGO recently sent BZPower a large selection of sets for us to use in various activities over the next few months, and we asked on social media which of three sets you'd like to see us build this weekend. The results are in, and this Saturday, July 15th, at 6 PM Eastern, we'll be building 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V from the LEGO Ideas line! I'm super excited to ramble on about the Apollo program and the space race for however long it takes me to put the 1969 pieces together, interspersed by me giving away some prizes to our viewers! You can catch all the action on the BZPower YouTube channel. I look forward to seeing you all there this weekend for what's sure to be a great build!

You have no idea how incredibly jealous I am right now. I had intended to purchase this set right on the day it was released, but it's been listed on Lego Shop at Home as "temporarily out of stock" since pretty much the very moment it became available. And now over a month later, it is still out of stock there! <_< Amazon is no better, as the ones that are available there are asking for nearly twice their retail price. (According to what my dad found out, this is all because a bunch of guys bought the entire stock with the intention of reselling them for much higher prices. If that's true... :burnmad: :censored: )

Seriously guys, how the heck can I possibly get my hands on one of these?! :begging:

Normally, I wouldn't even bother watching these livestream builds, but I decided to make an exception this time since this is after all a set that I'd desperately like to have. I may have missed the first few minutes and had to keep refreshing the page about once every ten minutes, but it was totally worth it to see this huge set come together. I'll definitely be looking forward to when I can finally get a chance to build one of these myself. (For now, the apparent availability of this set is still either out of stock or outrageously overpriced. I've already set aside $120 of my own money for it, and there's no way I'm paying more than retail for it, even if I end up having to wait until Christmas to get it.)
