Do you like Bionicle 2015-2016 or Hero Factory better?

Hi, guys!:) Anyway, let me tell you some history about Lego's main constraction category in the 2010s:

In the first half of 2010, Bionicle 2001-2010 ended with six small-ish sets with unbendable limbs. It's sad to see my beloved and long-running favorite Lego theme ended during this day.:(

In the second half of 2010, Hero Factory replaced Bionicle as the main constraction theme. It went from 2010-2014. It ended with some unresolved cliffhangers.:(

In 2015, Bionicle returned as Bionicle G2, which is a reboot to Bionicle 2001-2010. It was an exciting day for us Bionicle fans.:D However, G2 lasted two years, from 2015 to 2016, as it was cancelled in 2016 and never had its planned third year. It was unfair and very disappointing. It's like The Amazing Spider-Man movie series in 2012-2014 all over again.:(

After 2016, there is no main contraction theme with an original story by Lego replacing Bionicle G2 right now. Because of this, we are encountering a Dark Age/Great Depression to the constraction category now.:(

I mean, this decade is pretty bad for the constraction category for some reason.:(

So, like the title says, which main 2010s constraction theme do you like better? Hero Factory or Bionicle G2? I know that both aren't as great as Bionicle G1, but which do you think is better? For me, I think both sort of. Bionicle G2 is, well, you know, Bionicle, and has fantastic trans-color pieces, masks, and blades in the sets, and the story ended this time. Plus, we got a Bionicle TV show (well, in Netflix, annoyingly). Hero Factory, however, has a lot of cool villains, the heroes have fantastic technology, has a better story than Bionicle G2, and has more TV 22-minute episodes.:) But, I might go with Bionicle G2 the most because again, it is, well, you know, Bionicle.:)

Bionicle G2 may have only been 2 years, but the sets were extremely well made in my opinion. Hero Factory had a watered down story compared to G1, and the CCBS system was still just testing the waters at the time. Many of the refinements that went into G2, plus the greater measure of Technic integration, went a long way. The sets were absolutely on point, with Bionicle G2 representing the peak of CCBS set design, which the Star Wars buildable figures haven't been able to surpass for their blandness and lack of variation. Sure, we barely got any story content, but what little we did get I liked. It wasn't stellar, but it was far from bad.

Also, I know it's a minor thing, but G2 had some great music produced for it.

Yeah, the Technic-esque pieces are what defines Bionicle back in the early 2000s. Hero Factory just abandoned the idea of using Technic for its sets (Well, I think Furno's Bike and Drop Ship in 2010 had a lot of Technic pieces.).

I wouldn't say it abandoned it—a lot of Hero Factory sets, especially larger ones, continued to use Technic parts for detail, and Invasion From Below on the whole was also extremely Technic-heavy. I'm often confused by the idea that Technic building was abandoned since the CCBS itself is intrinsically connected to the Technic building system.

I'd say the only thing HF did better than G2 (at least in 2010-2012) was atmosphere. G2 had great sets and a forgettable story, whereas HF's sets and story were just bad, but at least, in a weird way, everything about HF felt like it belonged there. G2 was torn between drawing in new fans along with keeping old fans interested, and that stopped it from developing its own character. HF had a dumb childish character, but it still had one. So, I'd say G2 was better, all things considered.
