Is the makuta in g2 teridax?

Recommended Posts

The Makuta in Gen 2 Bionicle is not the same one from Gen 1. The two Gens do not have any connections to each other save for sharing the names of the Toa and Makuta.

Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.

He is on my personal Bionicle shelf. Well, technically he's Maxilos with the 2004 Ultimate Dume Mask of Shadows slapped on - it's the best I could do in lieu of an official G2 Makuta set.

I have slept for so long. My dreams have been dark ones. But now I am awakened. Now the scattered elements of my being are rejoined. Now I am whole. And the Darkness can not stand before me.

I do believe he was intended to be teridax, though they may have wanted to stick to his original character and simply name him "Makuta". I didn't like the name Teridax he was always just makuta to me.

Technically, I look at G2 Makuta as the reboot’s own Makuta Teridax because they are jealous of people who they are brothers, cause Great Cataclysms, can shape-shift, have Titan forms, have Shadow powers, and are main antagonists in the stories.

I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!:)

He seemed to be based on the same character that was Teridax. So in that sense yes he is the same character (although dropping the teridax part of his name). Something I feel shouldn't have been added to begin with as it just made things more confusing in later years.

It's time to move on.
