In the interest of wrapping up our coverage of New York Toy Fair 2017 before we start our coverage of the 2018 event, we're going to do a pseudo-"Advent Calendar" of blurbs on toys we saw there. Think of it as a chance to add some non-LEGO items to your Christmas list, and see all the ways that ideas we know from LEGO appeared in places that the LEGO Group didn't.

Today's feature: Mu by Morpx. This exciting electronics line is compatible with seemingly everything. We were in a bit of a rush and didn't get a look at how this magic happens, but the gist is that this $37 camera module is compatible with both LEGO's Power Functions system and LEGO Mindstorms motors. Presumably you need to build a certain way for the motors to be where Mu's IR output expects them to be - in light of how rushed we were, it really did look like magic.

Check out more photos after the break.
