This sale is inconsistently advertised, but it generally involves clearing out soon-to-be-discontinued sets online and in-store, while supplies last (which varies wildly store-to-store). They don't always advertise it, and sometimes none of the items are actually in stock online, but there's always been something. Thinking back, when I got to a store on 1/1/2017, they only had polybags (mostly Mixels) on sale, and the rude salesperson tried to convince me there wasn't a sale...but my giant stash of 50% off Mixels said otherwise.
