Toy Fair 2018: Virtual & Augmented Reality Session

One of our reporters dropped in for a session on toys using virtual and/or augmented reality technologies. You may have heard them abbreviated as VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), or MR (Mixed Reality). While the presentation did include some interesting data points regarding when kids are likely to embrace various tech, it overlooked innovations we're more familiar with - not only did it not mention LEGO's Digital Box success, but timeline slides on "Tech and Toys" and "Media and Children" skipped over creative toys entirely. The format of the presentation was a slideshow in conversational form, with slides that ask questions alternating with slides showing responses to those questions.
