Hapori Tohu Posted May 22, 2018 Earlier today Activision Blizzard announced a flurry of new licensing partnerships for things like apparel, toy blasters, costumes, calendars, cookbooks, action figures, and construction toys. Yep, construction toys. Surprisingly, to the delight of many, and despite Mattel having the license for Destiny, another Activision Blizzard property, LEGO was announced as the partner, " for multiple Overwatch building sets across various price points." While I'm sure people are looking forward to D. Va, Tracer, and Winston minifigs, am I alone in thinking that they brand might be better suited to buildable figures? J46 Nui Posted May 22, 2018 (edited) I would definitely pick up a Bastion and other Omnic Characters if they came out as Buildable Figures. Edited May 22, 2018 by J46 Nui Quote PSN ID: darthlegoGamertag: SPARTAN J46Steam name: jumpy46

Valendale Posted May 22, 2018 Well, I never would have guessed this. I think a lot of the characters would be more suited towards buildable characters, yeah. I'm not that familiar with the game, but I'm sure there's at least a few locations that would make good minifig scale sets. Maybe a payload set? CommanderKumo Posted May 23, 2018 This seems rather strange, don't Blizzard already license stuff with Mega Bloks. I would laugh now if the guy who posted the news made a mistake and they are actually releasing Mega Bloks sets XD Quote My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClo2J14RKmVtcnoJTv7g6PA , Bionicle films coming soon! xccj Posted May 23, 2018 I'm only mildly aware of the game, but it looks like it has lots of neat characters. Building sets might be fun, but if this is the new direction of CCBS, that would be cool. (Frankly, Star Wars builds are starting to get bland. And they can't do any worse than Ben 10 or Super Heroes CCBS, right?) CHTrilogy Posted May 23, 2018 But I already got a Tracer minifig from Minifigures.com! Now they're making an official one!? Will it have new pieces? Quote ~ CHTrilogy
Bambi Posted May 23, 2018 Cool, might pick up a few if they look good and the prices are decent. Quote [my blog]
Pohaturon Posted May 23, 2018 While I'm not the biggest Overwatch fan, I'd love to see some constraction figures, if only for the interesting new parts they'd bring for MOCing purposes. 1 Quote Stone rocks I write stories, which you can read at A Beach, Somewhere. Taria Pakari Posted May 23, 2018 Maybe a payload set? Genji not included with that one. 1 Quote ~In monochrome melodies~ ~Our tears are painted in red~ ~Deep inside we're nothing more~ ~Than scions and sinners~ ~In the rain~ ~Do light and darkness fade~
Ptah Posted May 24, 2018 What is just as interesting is the stuff not mentioned. Activision made no mention of Skylanders. They brought up Crash and Spyro but Skylanders looks to be joining Infinity and Dimensions. Disciple Posted May 26, 2018 Only played the game a handful of times, but the character designs are cool and original enough to where I would consider getting some. I could see some really interesting builds and new pieces showing up in these, so I hope it works out. Might even open the door for more video game-licensed sets in the future, something myself and a lot of others have wanted for a long time.
