Your Flickr Account Is Now Part of SmugMug

Recommended Posts

You may have already seen the news that SmugMug has acquired Flickr. As of yesterday, if you have a Flickr account, your account and data will be transferred to SmugMug from Flickr's previous parent company (Yahoo!, which was bought by Verizon, and is now Oath). As a result, your account is now governed by the new Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for Flickr. You don't need to agree to (or read) Oath's new policies to keep using Flickr, and the new policies at SmugMug appear to be about the same as Flickr's old policies, although by keeping your account, you've now made an agreement with SmugMug instead of Yahoo!

Flickr's blog has a FAQ about the transition.
