It was designed by one of the LEGO designers I greatly admire, Mark Stafford, and you can actually see the name "NABII" on one of the stickers. That's his username on a lot of LEGO sites. :biggrin:At the same time, I am disappointed that the flick-fires don't work well here. I'm a huge fan of flick-fire missiles (at least, the current type-- previous versions were usually awful) and a similar flick-fire mechanism worked marvelously in the Smash 'N' Grab set from Space Police. Of course, it wasn't trying to launch more than one missile with one flick!Alien Conquest is a theme I pretty much avoided collecting for budgetary reasons-- after all, there were still Atlantis sets out that I didn't have, not to mention that I got pretty deeply into Hero Factory and Ninjago this year. But I love the set designs, with the retro UFOs versus the more modern, military-like ADU spacecraft. The Classic Space influence on some of the ADU vehicles is also appreciated, as is the AFOL influence, especially the Vic Viper in the mobile HQ set, with its heartwarming tribute to the late MOCist Nate Nielsen (Nnenn).
