We all know that LEGO used many words from the Maori language in its early Bionicle names, but apparently it didn't stop there. BZPower member Sir Keksalot has put together The Etymology of Matoran Names, detailing the linguistic origins of many characters you're sure to recognize from G1 lore. It's certainly an interesting look into the creative process that LEGO went through to create the universe we all love. Check it out and see if you can help fill in some of the blanks!
