Hapori Tohu
Flickr has seen plenty of changes over the years, but it still holds as a central hub for AFOLs to share MOCs and other photos. One recent change was the arrival of Flickr Pro, giving members several perks like advanced statistics, photo-printing discounts, and being ad-free. It also meant that standard members would no longer have unlimited photo storage, and Flickr Pro would be the way to host unlimited photos on your account. For those still on the fence about enhancing their Flickr usage, there is currently a sale for annual subscribers: 41% off, coming out to $3.54 a month for a year, compared to paying $6 monthly. Check out the offer, and make sure you're logged in to see the limited discount. View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A
TuragaNuva
Since I finally started a Flickr last year, I decided to sign up for Pro while they're doing the discount (especially since I'm already over 1/3 of the new free storage limit). It should be clarified, though, that this is not a temporary 41% discount - it's a temporary 15% discount off of the annual rate (which is always cheaper than the monthly rate, at $50/year instead of $6/month). xccj
Eh, I'm still a bit bitter towards Flickr after their big change to make a profit; I only started using the service a lot when they initially offered a lot more storage, and this step backwards isn't to my taste, so I'm not going to reward them with a paid membership. Won't delete my account or pictures, but I'm sure not going to be using it as much anymore. (And I'm sure there are valid business reasons for their move; I was kinda wondering how they were making money earlier. Still doesn't mean I have to like their sudden switch from 2 free TB to 1K items.)
