Hapori Tohu Posted February 14, 2019 Share Posted February 14, 2019 It's been a week since The LEGO Movie 2: The Second part opened in theaters and so far it's spent that time on the top of the box office charts. It made over $34 million in the US on it's opening weekend, but as Box Office Mojo reports, that was a good deal short of the $50 to 55 million that Warner Bros. was expecting. I've seen many theories thrown around for why it didn't do as well as hoped such as bad weather and franchise fatigue, but we'll have to wait and see how it does in the long haul. With Alita: Battle Angel coming out this weekend and How to Train Your Dragon 3 the weekend after, it certainly has some stiff competition. What did you think of the film? Any plans to see it again?
