King Joe Posted January 4, 2012 Share Posted January 4, 2012 The same problem is happening to me. I'll be logged in, and it will prompt me asking if I want to log in. If I say yes, it takes me to the login screen, but when I return to the game, it asks again. After playing it for a little while, I left and came back, and my progress was not saved. It seems to be a very high-quality game compared to what the Hero Factory site has had in the past, so I'm sure getting it up and running at peak performance is of as great importance to the site managers as it is to Hero Factory fans.Incidentally, I had a similar problem on the LEGO Rebrick site, and that got sorted out in a matter of days, so hopefully we'll also see a prompt response. I wonder if their technical team is falling short or something. It takes forever to load, is glitchy, won't save, and nearly crashed my computer, which was not made in the Stone Age, I tell you. Still, it shows promise: if I can find the magic button that takes me to mission control from the levels, I might actually enjoy this thing! Really, this thing is starting to rival the MNOG 2! Mesonak Posted January 6, 2012 Share Posted January 6, 2012 Attempted to play the game again, and I daresay, it has more errors and glitches than my first attempt yesterday. Where to begin? Saving doesn't work for me on both Firefox and Chrome, despite the error message disappearing that claims I'm not logged into my Lego ID. So right off the bat, broken functionality that they masked by taking away the error message, without fixing the actual problem.Secondly: the game seems to "lock up" in certain areas, not recognizing that I;m actually in the game. For instance, at one point, in the Mission Select screen, after selecting my mission, it cut away to the Hero's back and stayed there, not progressing beyond that. Nothing you can do, either, except reload the page and, guess what, start from scratch. Another instance is where, in the first mission, you're prompted to upgrade your gun in order to progress. After you do that, and go back to the wall, the game does not recognize Rocka as being there, and as such, doesn't let you blast down the wall.Another problem is the camera. It's horrible. At one point, when you're introduced to "Secret Items" and you're prompted to pick up the hamburger on the first level, the camera goes haywire, flying all around the screen and trapping you, as every time the camera switches position you have to press a different arrow key to move, making it impossible to progress.At one point, after playing through the intro sequence for the fifth time, on the loading screen, the entire screen turned a sickly shade of brown, and when the actual game came up, it was distorted and brown splotches covered the screen. It was at that point that I gave up trying.They shouldn't have released the game at this point; far too many errors making it unplayable. If they'd just delayed its release long enough to fix these problems, the game would be decent. Nuvaguy Posted January 6, 2012 Share Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) Last time I played the game today, it didn't have the 'do you want to log in?' message, and when I clicked 'login' at the top of the page, it opened up a new window (instead of going to a different web page) that allowed me to log in, and save my game! The only problem is that when I get to the Toxic Reapa or Thornraxx boss fights, the game always freezes mid-cutscene. As for the camera controls, if you hold down shift for a second, the camera should move to behind your character.EDIT: I tried playing the game again today, and it's not saved anymore. After I upgrade the weapon, it won't let the character move. Saving is now up, but since I can't get past the first level anymore it doesn't matter. Thunder on the Mountain Posted January 7, 2012 Share Posted January 7, 2012 All my issue's seem to stem around the Black Phantom fight. I make a little more progress every time...only to meet another glitch. Until that point though, I didn't really encounter any of the issue's you guys have had.And that's really unfortunate, because this game is awesome. I've really been enjoying it, even replaying the same thing over-and-over. I could never really make any real progress on the earlier 'Mission' Hero Factory games, because of issues with impatience over loading and issues with my account. This game kick's butt though. The simpleness of the controls, the shooter element to it, the slow-mo explosion shots, I really enjoy it all. The weird camera angles were a bit of a bother at the start, but I've grown to appreciate them more, 'cause they allow for cooler fight scenes, and I've gotten the hang of them. The whole 3D shooter thing is a big step up for the Lego.com games, and really, it just makes me want a real Hero Factory PC game all the more. Heck I don't even buy the sets, and only recently did I bother checking out the story at all, but man, it makes for a cool game. Perhaps with even a little maintenance the game will reach a more functional state in which I can really enjoy the rest of this. 'Cause honestly? There are a number of glitches in the first level, however... once you get past those, the game saves and you are home free. After that, a convenient "Exit Level" button appears on each level, allowing you to escape future glitches. Though they are annoying...
